A/N: "I can't believe it."
"That is why you fail."
I learned that from the wisest of Jedi from times oldest past.
.
We walked inside and saw that Ashton still hadn't woken up. "He'll wake up in due time, don't you worry too much." The medic reassured. As he started to walk away from us to give us privacy, I remembered something. "We'd like to ask questions to your wife." He turns around and asks, "What for?"
"Nothing aggressive, I can promise you that."
"I see. I'll go get her. I hope you can keep your promises." He turned back and walked off to another section of the house to get his wife to come to talk to us.
Michael sat down on the edge of the bed next to Ashton, carefully not to wake him up. Calum went over to Michael but sat on the ground having his back to the bed. I walked over closer to them and caught myself looking at Ashton.
It felt like a year went by when everyone was scouted to go and look for him and bring him back. At least he's matured enough to do the responsible thing.
.
"You know you're amazing right?" I say sitting down on the edge of a cliff as Ashton sat criss-cross right next to me. I looked at him waiting for him to look back and ended up doing so after seconds of what I said. He smiled, "I'd like to believe you're the amazing one." I chuckled and had my head rest against his chest. He put his arm around me as we both looked at the glistening lake in front of us.
Even if I was the one who was supposed to be protecting Ashton, he still made me feel safe under his arms. Being around him, in general, made me feel safe. His laugh, his smile, made me want to kiss him out of love. Whenever we get the chance to be alone together, it made me happy because no one would be interrupting or being distracted with what's around them.
Finally being able to have him all to myself is possibly the best thing the world can offer. All it really took was patience and I learned to wait until the time has given me an opportunity.
There were at least a million girls who wanted to marry Ashton but when it came to me, it couldn't possibly be the same thing, the same feeling, the same expression. They weren't in love like I was. I think they are just showing themselves being lovesick, having a crush. There's no way they could see past all of his imperfections and his flaws, though anyone could just say that. I know this is different. I understand him. He does a lot a prince wouldn't do, no one is as patient as me.
He's someone I can help.
He's someone I can hug when he has the worst of his days.
He's someone that can have my back and make me feel safe when I'm with him.
He's just too special to leave behind.
"You remind me of someone." He says getting me in deep thought.
"Who?" I ask. He reaches his hand to the top of my head and brushes through my hair.
"Some people I know."
"As in...?"
"The rulers of Endor."
"Endor?"
"Your hair and your eyes. They remind me of you."
I move away from his hand. "So? Some people look like each other... besides twins of course."
He brought his hand to his knee and shrugged. "Yeah, but they still remind me of you."
"Alright, If you say so. I don't like being compared to others who I can't be."
