November 8th

Bucky:

Once again, we were in the lab with Tony. Maya was in the white chamber, like before - when Tony first ran tests on her and me. Tony felt the need to get Wanda, Natasha and Bruce, and as a result, everyone woke up. Now, everyone was watching Maya in the chamber trying to do what she did before when she woke up. She had been trying for the last twenty minutes, but nothing was happening.

Maya closed her eyes and tried to concentrate. She squeezed her fists as hard as she could. Nothing. "Ugh. I can't do it, it's not working," she said in frustration.

Wanda interjected. She pressed the button to the comm. "You have to treat your powers like they've been there all along. The only way you're going to do whatever you did before is if you trust your instincts. Try to remember the way you felt when you did it before, okay?"

"Okay..." she said. "Okay," she said, starting to relax, the tension in her shoulders coming undone. She took a deep breath, let her hands go down by her side, and she closed her eyes again. I couldn't help but notice the small crinkles that appeared by the sides of her eyes when she tried to focus, and the way her flushed cheeks brought out the light spray of freckles on her cheekbones.

Suddenly, she opened her eyes and both her hands slowly conjured glowing forms of black and purple, she lifted them up and looked at the whole team, smiling at us even though the chamber had one-way glass. Whatever was coming from her hands almost had a mind of its own, it floated around like dust but stayed in the proximity of Maya's palms. It was almost like fire, but black and purple. It was fascinating. "Tony, what do I do now?" she asked. Tony pressed a button and a hatch on the floor of the chamber opened, and out came a target.

"Okay Alton, back up and hit the target," Tony said, rolling his eyes. It was just an assumption, but Tony probably doesn't like us too much, he seemed reluctant to figure out what was going on when we woke him up too. The only reason he said yes was because of Steve, who did most of the talking.

"I can't promise anything about hitting the target, I'll try my best I guess," Maya reluctantly said. She put her left hand out in front of her and closed her eyes once more, a few moments later the black glowing firey thing that was coming from her hands did the same thing it did in our room. The blast hit the target but the target didn't completely break, only cracked.

"What? That's impossible," Tony murmured.

"What's impossible?" Steve asked.

"That target is made of vibranium."

Well damn.

~

"How is it possible that I can break vibranium? It's the strongest metal on Earth," Maya said.

"I don't know, but whatever HYDRA did... not gonna lie, they were smart," Tony said, looking at his computer. Maya looked at me with a sad expression, I mirrored her expression. Both of us didn't want to admit it, but HYDRA acquired some of the smartest scientists and researchers in the world, some of them even smarter than Stark. Tony then went to his computer to start running tests.

"That's impossible, the only thing that could break vibranium is something like the tesseract... or Loki's sceptre."

"Okay, now how do you know about those?" Banner asked. Everyone else, including myself, looked confused too, I didn't know what those things were but I guess everyone else did since Banner was so protective over those unknown objects and started stalking towards Maya. She obviously knew about something that was supposed to be kept under wraps.

Maya looked over at Banner, and approached him, somewhat amused, stopping him in his tracks. "At some point in time, HYDRA was in possession of both the sceptre and the tesseract. When I was planning my escape I found an old file from the '40s on the tesseract. Before that, I was assigned to watch over you and your brother," she said, pointing to Wanda, "I was relocated about a year and a half before you guys blew that place up. So yes, I got a pretty good look at the sceptre while I was there." she finished. She patted Banner twice on the chest, walked back to her chair, and sat down. Everyone was in shock that Maya was so relaxed with her response because everyone was too afraid to aggravate Banner in fear of how mad he'll get.

"Fair enough," Bruce said, causing some awkwardness to fill the room.

"How come we never saw you then?" Wanda asked, filling the silence in the room.

"I was watching from, uh, a distance," Maya said, shrugging.

"C'mon we had to have seen you at least once."

"From where I watch people, no one could see me," Maya said, crossing her arms.

"Explain," Steve interjected.

"It's not really something I can explain, but I'll show you," she said. Maya then closed her eyes and just like before she disappeared into thin air.

"Where'd she go?" Clint asked. Maya then reappeared right beside Clint.

"Into the shadow dimension. I'm not exactly sure how it works, but I can go in and out whenever, and I'm pretty sure I'm the only person that can get in and out."

"So your saying-" Clint tried to get out, but Tony interrupted.

"Holy shit," he said staring at his computer.

"What? What is it?" Natasha asked, a little concerned.

"I'm not a hundred percent sure about this. Let's call it around eighty, but theoretically, with that ball of whatever you just created, you can create so many more things. It's possible that you could create something tangible with your powers, and you could manipulate it to your own will," Tony said in disbelief.

I had to say it again, but damn.
