I slinked through the gate, looking around with panic. Gloria was here, possibly already got at Michael. My heart thumped louder as I darted through the grass of Neverland.
I was still confused, Mask seemed to have infinite resources so why send Gloria to do the job? He could have easily killed Michael himself.
Right now, I didn't care if I alerted any guards, that's why I found myself in the backyoard of the Ranch, my leather jacket bound on my fist as I punched through the back door window. Reaching inside through the whole I'd broken through the window and twisting the door unlocked.
I kicked the door open, stepping inside. The glass crunched under my feet as I looked around, the room was empty. It was the livingroom.
I sighed, rushing toward the stairs, knocking my leg on each one, so now I was aching when I got to the top. Plus, I was limping.
That didn't fit well.
So, if Gloria was in the house. There's only one place she could have come from. Janet's bathroom window, connected to her bedroom.
I remembered yesterday, and easily found Janet's bedroom, looking around. It was empty, I stepped inside. Looking around, there was a bed, even a closet.
The bathroom's door was open and it was empty.
I turned in circles. "Gloria?" I called out, then sighed, letting my arms fall to their sides.
