"Thanks for inviting me."

I say hoarsely to Janet, stepping through the doors of the Neverland Ranch, feeling special. It's been ten days since the fight and I feel like absolute crap.
"No problem." Janet smiled. "Shay and I were having some girl-talk and I decided who our third guest would be." She giggled.

I nodded, being led into the lounge. Shay is playing with a deck of poker cards, sitting in a damask golden chair. "Janet, I know you said to take a beat," she didn't even know I was here when she spoke. "But lately he's been giving me mixed signals and--" She looked up and saw me, immediately shutting up, which I took offense to. "Oh, hi Diana."

"You know who I am?" I was surprised, sitting on the couch beside her.

"Janet told me all about you, your relationship with Michael." Something about the way she spoke to me, told me she really didn't lik me.

Which means she had a thing for Michael. She must have been talking about him when we first walked into the room.

"And what are the lovely ladies doing on this warm sunny day?"

I turned at the sound of the familiar, male voice. Hoping it was Michael, only to find it was someone totally different. This was Jermaine, Michael's brother. I could tell, the evenly toned chocolate skin and the glowing brown eyes.

His eyes flared brighter when he saw me and I watched Janet give a frustrated sigh. "Jermaine, now is not the time for your intruding entrances."

"Fine, I'll leave," he smiled down at me. "As long as you introduce me to your lovely guest here." He inclined his head toward me.

I blushed at his flirtacious compliment.

"Jermaine, this is Diana Cartwright." Janet smiled, directing a hand at me, and then a hand at her brother. "Diana, this is my annoying older brother Jermaine. But you can call him idiot."

I giggled softly. "Nice to meet you." I said to him.

"Same here." Jermaine grabbed my hand and softly kissed it.

I was beet red by now.

"Jermaine, you remember me, right?" Said Shay suddenly, waving a hand at Jermaine, her wide cute smile out. "Shannon Marshall? Ring a bell?"

Jermaine's whole demeanor changed, and his cheery expression was replaced with a look of hatred. "I remember your back as you left my brother heartbroken with an engagement ring to get rid of." He said stonily.

My mouth dropped open.

I looked over to Shay who looked contorted.

"It was lovely to meet you, Diana. I need to go see my brother."

Jermaine flashed me a smile before disappearing.
