I rushed through the halls, stopping quickly at the front desk to get James's room number. When I got it, I hurried to his room.

I gasped of relief when I reached it, inside James was sitting up on the bed. And a female doctor was giggling at him.

He looked toward me, the breathless brunette. "Diana?" He scrunched his eyebrows at me.

"What happened?" I asked, waiting for the inevitable answer.

There's no way this is an coincidence, after we sleep together he ends up in a hospital? Nope, no accident.

"I was heading to work when some-"

"White mask, right?" I interrupt.

He looked to me confusion and surprise mixed in his features.

"How did you know?"

I sigh. "I don't know." I lied, tucking thick hair behind my ear.

"Well, what are you doing here?" He asked me.

I tried to think of one, really, but only came up with the very clingy response. "I wanted to see if you were okay."

His eyes flashed with something. "That's very thoughtful of you."

Right? Diana Cartwright, a liar.

That's my new trait. Deceit.
