"Coffee?"

I offered Diana, settling back in the chair beside her. It's been so long, we were still in the hospital, worried out of our minds. Shay had nodded off to sleep beside my mother Katherine who was talking on her cell phone.

My six siblings were flying back to New York when they heard the news, my Mother said they'd be here in a few hours. And to be honest, I couldn't wait winters to see them. I'm pretty sure with them here, there's a better chance of Michael waking up from his coma.

Nodding mutely, Diana reached over and accepted the black coffee, the first response I'd gotten from her since we were here.

It's been thirteen hours and all they'd told us was he wasn't waking up, that they were waiting for a response. It wasn't enough, for any of us.

"I never really realized..." Diana began after sipping her coffee, snapping me from my reverie.

It absolutely surprised me, since I hadn't heard her voice in a very long while.

Diana shook her head slowly, sitting down the coffee. "I never realized how much he meant to me until now..." She sniffled, and I watched her wipe away a clear tear.

"Me either." I responded, a smile slowly spreading across my lips before I could help it. Just the thought of Michael & Diana reuniting made me extremely happy for some reason. "Both ways." I added.

Diana wrapped her arms around her knees that she'd brought up to her face. She looked like someone in need of love, of comfort. So I leaned over and hugged her. She welcomed the embrace.

"Thank you Janet, for everything." She whispered in my ear.

I nodded. "It's alright. But thank you." I said back.

She looked confused when I pulled back. "For what?"

"For allowing my brother to have the love of his life."

In the end, I knew she woudln't respond. I believe she was still processing the word love.
