"She's everywhere I go, I see her whenever I'm tired, and in my sleep. I can't stop thinking about her. How do I stop it?"

Ms. Flores sighed, crossing her leg over her other. "It's pretty obvious you loved her." The therapist smiled at him. "You should try thinking of other things, do something that will make you happy. Go to an amusement park, be a kid again. It'll help you."

Michael nodded. "Thank you," he stood up, thinking of how judgemental Janet would be if he knew he went to see a therapist. "Have a good day."

Michael pulled his hood over his head, leaving the doctor's office, breathing in the cool air.

"So, how'd it go?"

He jumped with a short shriek of surprise, Diana was standing against a telephone pole, wearing the green dress she wore to the Ball.

"Did you find some special way to get rid of me?" She asked, raising her eyebrows in a cute way he always enjoyed.

When he didn't answer her and continued walking, she skipped behind him, letting out laughs. "Oh come on, Michael. You know I won't tell, I'm dead, remember?"

He flinched. "Would you stop saying that?"

She laughed again. "Only when you accept it," Diana sighed, her serious face coming up. "This is not something medicine can help, Michael. The only way to get rid of me, is you. Just stop thinking about me."

"I don't think I can do that," he snapped angrily. "I don't think I'll ever be able to stop thinking about you, or ever be successful in finding a way to forget you. You get that?" He sighed, walking again.

When he realized she wasn't talking, he turned and saw that she wasn't there. Michael kicked an empty soda can in confusing anger.
