"What do you mean, 'You've been dreaming of him?!'" Janice screeched at her.

"Just that, Jan! For the last three nights, I've been having very erotic dreams about some guy I didn't even know existed! I just thought it was my mind's way of telling me I needed a man!" Alyssa told her during lunch. She explained how she had run from the teacher's lounge after her run in with Declan and found Mr. Hodgkin to explain that she wouldn't be able to show the new teacher around after all due to an unexpected parent showing up. A total lie. She then hid out in her classroom all morning so she wouldn't run into Mr. McConnell or Mr. Hodgkin again.

"Oh, Hunny, trust me, three years is long enough. You so need to get back into the game. But I wonder how come you dreamed up him? Not that I blame you. That man is sin in skin."

"Argh! What am I going to do? He probably thinks I'm such a freak now. I mean, seriously! Who screams then bolts after they see someone for the first time? Gods, I am a freak."

"No, you're not. Besides, I would have reacted the same way, probably. Either that or throw myself at him and take him on the couch in there."

"So not helping," Alyssa groaned at her friend. Just then, the door to the teacher's lounge opened and in walked the topic of their conversation. Alyssa immediately averted her eyes as she felt a blush creep up on her cheeks as he searched the room with his eyes. She knew he had spotted her and was making his way towards them by the way Janice sat up in her seat.

"Ms Abbot," he nodded in her direction before looking back down at Alyssa. "Do you ladies mind if I join you?"

"Sure, you can, Declan. And please, call me Janice. This is Alyssa Derickson. She's the art teacher here."

"Ms. Derickson," he murmured, still not taking his eyes off her. He couldn't believe he had finally found the woman who had been plaguing his dreams for the last few years. Ever since the first night he'd dreamt of her, Declan knew she was meant for him. His one perfect match. His soul mate.

"So, Declan," Janice began, " where ya from?"

Glancing at Janice before returning his gaze towards Alyssa, he replied, "All over. It kind of took me a while to find a place I wanted to settle in. Most recently, I was in Florida."

Alyssa was becoming more and more uncomfortable under Declan's stare as he continued to answer Janice's never ending questions. She was just about to ask him what his problem was when the door opened again as more teachers came in for their own lunch periods. Taking advantage of Declan's momentary distraction when he glanced at the door, she jumped up from her seat and ran out while he was turning back around, leaving her friend and the new teacher confused.
