Long for the Return (Reylo FanFic)

Chapter 16 Pt. 1

Just a couple Reylo edits I saw on YouTube. Probably best completion I've seen out all of them. 18:26 and 16:34 hits hard. You should watch them! Oh! And the image next to it! Anyway, enjoy....

BEN'S POV:

I wake up drowsily. I try to sit up but I feel weight on my chest. I look down to see Rey still sleeping. It's early dawn and that's the time I usually get up ever since I arrived here.

You guys are probably wondering how the hell I got here. It's quit simple actually. When I died I was given a chose to go to the afterlife and become a force ghost, or I could be transported to World Between Worlds. It was a long thought actually. If I were to become a force ghost, I would be able to see Uncle Luke again and of course my mother. And not to mention my grandfather of course.

All my life I believed my grandfather was this great villain but I was wrong. Snoke never told me that my grandfather turned to light before he died. When I heard the story from Luke and Anakin, I couldn't help but think of how stupid I was to believe in Snoke's lies. I felt like an complete idiot, which I was, but Anakin reminded me how Darth Sidious manipulated into turning to the dark side as well. He told me he started having nightmares of his wife dying during child birth when Padme told him she was pregnant. Anakin feared of losing her so much, that he agreed to help Palpatine. 

He helped me realize that mistakes happen for a reason. Mistakes push us to make corrections in life in order to succeed. 

After talking with Luke and Anakin, I was finally able to talk to my mother. Once I saw her I broke down crying and apologizing after everything I did. Turning to the dark side, killing Dad, and also killing everybody she loved and cared for. She forgave me but I got a slap in the face as well and said that was Han. She also said that she was so sorry for not being there for me when I needed someone the most during my teenage years when I heard the voices of Snoke in my head. I forgave because well.. she's my mother! 

When the gave me a chose, I wanted to stay but I realized how Rey would feel and I couldn't bear the thought of her being on her own again. Those desperate lonely hours. And the thought of abandoning her while she is pregnant. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I did. I didn't even want to think about it anymore so I made up my mind. I told everyone I loved them all and left and got transported here. I have to say it's a nice place and all. I wake up every dawn hunt for food for breakfast and dinner maybe lunch if I catch extra. Then after that I either come to the river, jump around from tree to tree, or lift rocks to work out. 

I made a little camp in a little clearing. I hunted animals such as deer, bears and other larger animals to have fur to keep warm, as in blankets and jackets. Don't worry, the force ghosts gave me some supplies from the afterlife to survive. Oh and I also help a wolf from a being trapped from underneath a fallen tree. It was wounded badly so I healed him. For returning the favor he became my hunting partner and I became his owner. He has a white- furred coat with blue eyes. To mark him as my own, I simply marked his shoulder with blue paste. I didn't want to mark him with anything special so I just put a star.

Speaking of him here he comes while heaing a dead rabbit in his mouth. 'Oh no' I think. I gently lift Rey off of me and make my way to him. I sigh with relief that its not Lady. I must of pushed Rey off of me a little to hard cause once I turned around, I see her beginning to wake up. 

I see Lady scurring towards Rey. I start walking towards her until my wolf starts hurrdling towards her. I quickly grab him by the scruff and yell, "Bad dog! Bad dog!" It starts wimpering but I give it a hug and lead them to Rey still holding by the scruff. "See friend. Don't kill the bunny, " I say while holding his face to look at me. I let him go. He listens ad sniffs Lady before licking her face.

REY'S POV:

I wake up drowsily from somebody sniffing my face. I open my eyes a little to see Lady. As I gently lift my had to pet her, I hear a bark. I sit up fast to see Ben holding a wolf?! He starts yelling at hit until it calms down. It comes near me but I stay put since Ben just literally talked some sense into it. I see it licking her face so I just lay back down into Ben's bed.

After we had a spectacular night, we went back to his little camp and fell asleep. His bed is really comfy. I think I would like to stay in bed forever. 

Ben comes towards me and sits on the bed next to me, "Sorry about him he's used to hunting with me." 

"It's ok we all have our moments." I say. I turn into a more comfortable position. I close my eyes hoping to fall asleep. I hear Ben laughing. "What?" I ask.

"Nothing," He says as he kisses my face, "I'm going to make breakfast."

"Mm" That's all I say. Once he's out of sight I turn my head to look back at his dog. He deserves a name to instead of saying 'him' all the time. I make a clicking noise in my mouth. He lifts his head and to look at me. I swear I almost died because he had a cute face and so much fur. I pat the spot next to me and he comes and jump on the bed laying next to me. I look at him and think of a name. 

I think of the perfect name...

"Dakota." He barks at me. "Yep that's the name." I say to him. Now that's over with I quickly wrap my arms around him cuddle with him and try to fall back asleep.

After like 30 minutes of sleep, Ben finally yells that breakfast is ready. I sigh, "Come on Dakota breakfast is ready." He follows me towards Ben he set the plates outside. We sit on a log to eat at. Once I've set me plate down I quickly get up to get some water. Once I come back I see Dakota trying to get my food. "Dakota no!" He still has his paws on the log, "Dakota! no ok?" I see a stick on the floor and pick it up and swing it in the air and do my playful voice, "Want the stick? Ya? Ya? Go get it!" 

I throw the stick as far as I can throw and he runs after it.
