Chapter 42

THIRD POV:

¨Alright kiddos, were home!¨ Ben said happily as he opened the door to his and Reys room in the castle. 

A few days has passed since they were in the hospital. Doctor Usha and Wenell wanted to keep them a little longer making sure the twins were both healthy before sending them home.

Rey and Ben didn't mind, as long as the girls were ok thats all that mattered. The gang has been visiting them as well.

What really surprised, was to see Rose to come in and see them.

Apparently she had been on Naboo but on different grounds. After some missions, she came back to castle with Jannah. Apparently something happened because they couldn't keep there hands off one another.

Of course, no one was bothered by it.

 As Rey and Ben entered there room, with one twin in one of their arms, they just put the baby bag on couch before sitting down on the couch as well.

Rey let out a sigh when they sat down as did Ben. He then used the force to bring the baby crib over to where it was right in front of them.

They both put the twins there and looked down at them. Surprisingly, they were awake. There both of their eyes were open wide and moving slightly.

Rey slightly laughed as Leianna made a noise. Ben reached his hand down and gently rubbed both of their stomachs while doing a silly face to make them laugh. It worked.

Kira smiled slightly as did Leianna. 

Just then, Kira gripped Bens index finger. A slight gasp escaped him as a quick vision came to him.

Two little girls were running in an open field as a man chased them playfully, a women, assuming the mother, followed a little behind. 

Ben realized he was looking at the future, realizing it was his family. Happy, healthy, and mostly out of everything, there was not pain.. just happiness.

The vision then ended and Ben was back into reality. He looked down to see that Kira was no longer holding his finger.

Rey looked at him, her voice soft, ¨What it is?¨ she asked.

Ben looked at her, his face soft and filled with love as he smiled before looking back at the twins, shaking his head, ¨Nothing.. all I know is that were going to have a happy ending..¨

Rey sighed before leaning her head on his arm.

Just then a knock was at the door.

Ben got up and answered it.

He was sort of shocked to see one of his council members, ¨Ben- I mean your highness, sir, we have urgent news!¨

¨Alright, what is it?¨

The council members shook his head, ¨No sir you must see it for yourself. Its.. its something.¨

Ben hesitated his answer before agreeing to see whats wrong. The member left as Ben turned back to Rey,

¨What is it?¨ she asked, a little concerned.

Ben shook his head, ¨I'm not sure.. that's why I must leave to go check it out..¨ Ben said as he started to put on his cloak.

He looked back at Rey, she was worried and she had every right to. Especially with what's going on right now with Enron.

Ben then came forward and leaned down pressing a kiss to her forehead while cupping her cheek, ¨My love, its ok, I'll be right back I promise..¨

Ben tore himself away from her before he couldn't. Ben then came forward and softly kissed the girls goodbye before leaving the room.

Ben quickly led to the holocron room and he was surprised to see almost everyone there. He made his way through and stopped in front of the dashboard, in which, Culttoon was there. 

Cult kept his promise in helping them by still communicating with Enron, getting all the details they can from him and his plans.

¨Ahh your grace so glad to see you!¨ he said cheerfully, as he bowed dramatically.

¨Mm, ¨ was all Ben said as he looked around, ¨You literally ripped me away from my children, whatever this is better be worth it.¨

¨Ah it is! Stormy play the message!¨ he was referring to Grant, he did not looked amused when Cult used a little nickname on him. At this, Ben let out a sarcastic chuckle before looking up at the message.

His gaze hardened as he saw it was a message from Enron himself, ¨Hello there my fellow friends.. I come to you with this message that the war is over! Your kingdom and fellow troops are going into battle with me to end this once and for all.. once your all foolish friends are dead I will finally have peace.. And you Ben Solo.. I will enjoy killing you and your family in the most painful way yet.. In 3 days the battle will take place on a planet called Krzysztof Plonka.. near the outer rims at the far east side at sunset.. See you then..¨

Just then the comlink shut off and everything went silent.. Ben looked around and saw everyone was staring at him..

He had no words to say right now, ¨We will discuss this tomorrow, ¨ he said before turning away, walking out of the room.

Ben was angry, over the edge pissed off, but then he was worried, frightened. Scared for his family that just began not to long ago..

How would Rey react to this? he asked himself.

He shook his head before entering the room. He looked around and saw no one was in the living room or kitchen. He went to the room and saw the crib in the corner and saw Rey asleep on the bed..

He realized how late it was. Ben walked over to the crib and saw both of his girls asleep.  He smiled softly before quickly going into the refresher to shower.

Once he was done, he climbed into bed and huddled close to her,

¨Rey? ..are you awake?¨ 

No response came from her, she was fast asleep.

Ben sighed heavily knowing he would have to tell her tomorrow. He laid his head down on the pillow. Trying to fall asleep, but he knew he couldn't.. not after what happened today..
