Chapter 18

REY'S POV:

I wake up the next day with pain in my stomach. I quickly get up and put the trash bin to my mouth to throw up. I make sure to not wake up Ben this time.

Once I'm done I but on leggings and one of Ben's shirts and my boots. I get my water container and rinse my mouth. I spit it out outside with the trash bin still in my hand. I quickly replace the bag with a new one and throw the other one away.

I walk over to Dakota who's laying on the dirt near the tree we tied him up to. I untie it and make him come with me, "Come on Dakota let's go for a walk while we wait for Ben to wake up. "

We began walked for a while before we reached the stream. I grab a stick and sit down as I throw the stick in the water. And of course, Dakota chases after it. When he brings it back I fake throw it and the cute expression is so cute. I finally show him I have it and throw it the water again.

I play fetch with him for a long time until I realize its almost sun high. I whistle, "Come on Dakota time to go back!"

He comes to me but as soon he drops his stick he straightens up and still. He looks at the cluster of trees to our right. I lean towards him, "What is it?" I ask him.

I hear him growl. What is it? Another wolf? A bear? A deer? Many questions crowd my mine. I relax myself by breathing in and out, in and out. He starts to bark. He gets louder every second. I don't hesitate any longer..

I let go of his leash, "Go get them!"

He bolts forward with lots of energy. I hear him barking, snarling. I hear a voice over there. A familiar one.

"What the- Hey get the hell off of me! You big rat! I swear I'll shoo-"

" You shoot my dog Poe, I'll shoot you! Dakota come here now! "

He comes with a piece of clothing in his mouth, "Good job, "I tell him as I scratch his ears, "good job." 

Poe emerges from the trees with his clothing ripped a little and covered with dirt, "Rey? Is that really you?"

I smile at him and stand up, "Yes it's me! How did you find me?"

"Well me and Finn were going to find Kylo Ren and bring him back to you to surprise because we heard how sad you were after he died. So me and Finn began searching him for a long time until we finally got here and now we found you."

My heart melts a little, "You really did that? Omg thank you so mu- wait! Where's Finn?"

"Oh right! " He reaches into his pocket and brings out a communicator, "Finn you hear me? Over"

We wait a few seconds until we hear him, "Here over where are you at?"

"Hold on I'll send it to you.. oh and I have a surprise for you! Over.. "

"Ight coming right now over, "

We hear rustling coming little to the left. I finally see him. One of my best friends.

"Finn!" I yell.

"Rey? Rey!"

He comes stopping through the shallow water ignoring how cold it is. He stops in front of my before bringing me into a tight hug.

"Oof Finn be careful please."

"What why?"

"Umm because I'm-"

"Rey there you are!"

I look to the trail that leads back to camp and see Ben. I run to him and hug him.

BEN'S POV:

A little earlier...

I wake up to feel the right side of the bed empty. Rey must of gotten up before me and started making breakfast. I wipe the sleep from my eyes, comb my hair a little, put on black sweats, put on a white tank top, and black socks before I leave the tent. I walk out to see Rey and Dakota no where in site.

Strange.

I grab an apple from my supply bag and began walking with Lady in my arms. She sleeps usually near Dakota. I wonder why Rey hasn't taken her with her. I walk the trail towards the stream because I know its her favorite place. I see my apple is down to the core but has little bits of apple left around it. I let Lady have it.

"I wonder where they could be?" I ask myself. 

I hear barking in the distance. I quicken my pace hoping everything is alright. I let Lady down to let her follow me on her own paws cause I may need to throw hands to protect Rey if Dakota is barking like that.

It stops all of a sudden. Oh no! What if someone or something killed Dakota and took Rey! No I won't let that happen. 

I only had Rey for a day and a half. If something happened to her I would kill everything in this forest and then myself. 

I get there and see Dakota completely fine and Rey is ok as well. I sigh with relief without noticing the two men there, "Rey! There you are!" I yell.

She surprises me be hugging me. I hug her back, "Hey you ok Rey?" I ask.

"Oh ya! " she says. She pulls away and points towards the men, "Look its my friends Finn and Poe! They've found me!"

I just stand there looking at them with a hard gaze. The ex stormtrooper and pilot stare back at me. I break the silence, "So you are the cockblockers I hear from Rey?"

"Ben!" Rey elbows me.

"What?! I was asking a question!"

"Ok but don't say it so mean!"

I shrug, "Sorry," I mumble. I walk towards them, they flinch. Wow there that scared of me? Interesting. I stretche out my hand, "Nice to meet you 'friends' of Rey."

They wait a second before shaking my hand. Finn looks at me seriously, "What?" I ask.

"If you ever hurt Rey, I will hunt you down and kick your ass!"

I burst out laughing, "Rey did you hear what this boy said! He's says he going to, and I quote, 'Kick my ass'," I look at him, "Ya nice try buddy but we all know how's that going to end. I'll be the one kicking your ass."

Finn looks away embarrassed. Poe starts laughing as well, "Ya.. ya that's true."

REY'S POV: 

I walk towards them and wrap my hands around Ben's arm, "So since you guys are done.. agreeing, I think it's time to go to camp,"

Ben looks at me and back at Finn and Poe, "Alright follow us."

Me and Ben lead the way with Finn and Poe tagging behind. And I swear as soon as we turn around, I could of sworn I saw them holding hands. Yes! I knew those two would hook up.

Ha! Ben owes me free massages for a week now. Yessss! The sun steadily beats down on us as we make our way back to camp hand in hand...
