REY'S POV:
Rey woke up tired, Kira still in her arms as she did. She didn't move from her spot but made herself a little more comfortable.
Yesterday she was going to stay up for Ben to come back, but she was to tired, so she fell asleep.
Rey wondered why they needed Ben right away.. was it something dangerous that laid ahead of them in the future?
Her stomach churned uncomfortable.. but she ignored it. She looked over at Ben and saw him sound asleep with Leianna next to him. She smiled slightly until she started to get it.
Rey gently place Kira on the bed next to her sister, making sure to put pillows around them before leaving to the refresher to shower.
She hurriedly did, and brushed out her damp hair and got dressed. She put on a simple purple dress and walked out into the living room, looking out the window.
She sighed softly, things went so fast. It seemed like yesterday she just got pregnant. She was stressed for some reason, was she feeling Bens side of their connection? She asked herself.
It was!
Something did happen at that meeting that triggered Ben, a shudder of fear went down her back. Whatever dangers laid ahead of them, it would mean they would have to leave the-
No! Rey shook her head. She won't leave the girls. She couldn't leave them like how her parents did to protect her. Rey promised herself that she would give the girls all the love they can give them due to her not being able to experience it herself.
She knew she had to ask Ben what happened but she also knew she wouldn't like the answers that lay before her.. she sighed as she waited for Ben and the girls to wake up..
~Late Afternoon..~
¨Peek-a-boo!¨ Alena said to the girls cheerfully as they laid in their crib. She had came over to visit them as Rey and Ben stayed home.
It has already almost been the whole day and Ben still hasn't said anything to Rey of whatever was on his mind, she wanted to talk to him about it, but she didn't want to push anything.
She knew she had no choice though..
Rey walked over to him at the kitchen. He was eating a late lunch.
¨Ben?¨ she asked softly, ¨Is everything ok? You haven't been yourself lately since, well, yesterday.¨
Ben stared at her for a moment before shaking his head.
¨Tell me..¨
Ben got up slowly and walked them to there room, shutting the door behind them. Ben sat on the bed and looked up at Rey while he hugged her to himself.
Rey was confused at this sort of action, yes, he did show her love and affection, but not like this. This was out of fear, and also pain.
Rey winced slightly as she thought of the terrible things he may have heard or seen, ¨Ben, please tell me what's wrong.. your scaring me.¨
Rey heard him sigh slightly before he finally answered her question, ¨Enron..¨
¨I.. what did he do this time?¨
Ben shook his head, ¨It's not about what he did.. it's about what he may do to us if we dont leave soon..¨
Rey looked at him bewildered, ¨Leave?! Ben I'm not leaving to go anywhere! I am not leaving the girls alone!¨
Ben nodded his head, ¨I know.. but we have no choice. Enron told us he wants to go into battle within two- no, three days from now on a planet called Krzysztof Plonka in the outer rims..¨
Rey's mouth fell agaped at his answer. She shook her head as her thoughts started to cloud with endless worries. Tears streamed down her face, ¨No.. no no no!! Ben I can't! I can't leave the girls.. not now-!¨
Rey choked on her words as she pressed herself against Ben, trying to calm herself. Ben got up and held her immediately, not caring about anything else right now, ¨I know.. I don't want to either but we have no choice love.. We have to leave in order to protect them.. ¨
Rey sniffled as she looked at him, her cheeks stained with tears, ¨Promise me Ben.. if one of us doesn't make it back alive, promise no matter, we will love them for the both of us..¨
Ben nodded his head as he kissed her forehead, ¨I promise my love..¨
Ben noticed how she shook slightly in his arms. How her tears kept streaming down her face even though he promised her, ¨Your afraid..¨ he said finally.
He took her hand in his and pressed there forehead togethers, calming her, ¨Don't be afraid, I feel it too.¨
Rey looked up at him as he continued, ¨ In the end of the day, in the end of time. I promise I will be by your side, until the last moment of the world..¨ Ben reached up with both of his hands, cupped her face, whipping her tears away, ¨If that moment comes, one of us must go.. I will let you go before me because I know.. You don't want to die alone..
I will hold your hand and tell you to sleep tight, I will go after you immediately. You don't need to wait that long.. I will tell you the last word: Don't be afraid sweetheart, I will always come back for you..¨
Rey smiled softly at his answers as more tears streamed down her face. She hugged him tightly as she let herself cry more, ¨Ben.. I love you.. now and forever..¨
¨I love you too, my love, I love you too..¨
