Long for the Return (Reylo FanFic)

Chapter 9

REY'S POV:  

I hold my breath to see the creature before me, but nothing shows from behind the bushes. I puzzle thinking I'm going insane. But to make sure I'm not in danger, I check behind the bushes. I sigh with relief to see nothing.

I look up to the sky to see the sun is behind the trees, so I'm only able to see the sun's rays in the starry night. As quickly as I can, I try to get back to the ship to sleep for the night. But I get the this awful feeling in my stomach making my headache and my vision fuzzy. 

Before I know it, I'm throwing up. I wipe my face and carry on walking with an awful headache. As I'm only a few yards within the ship, I call out to BB-8. "BB?!?" I yell with a raspy voice.

I see him rollin down from the ship to me. Beep- beep- meep!!? 

"I'm ok BB, It's just my stomach and my head," I assure him, "I'm going to rest, why don't you get me some medicine." 

meep- mop.

As I take the medication, I let sleep consume on the small bed in the falcon, hoping that it'll help get better.

I wake to feel heat and sweat all over myself, "BB?" 

I surprise myself how much my voice has changed. It's raspy, dry, and weak. Surprising, he comes.

 Beep-mop op?! 

"I'm hot and I don't feel to good." I tell him. I turn on my side to face him. He rolls away only to come back with a wet towel and a... stick?

He lifts the stick- metal thing to my forehead to realize that it's a thermometer. 

Meep- op... 

"103. That high?" He puts the wet towel on my forehead and I immediately cool down... a little. 

Ak- mo- wo. 

He rolls closer to me to where his little head is touching the bed. I put my hand on his head, " I don't know what'll do without you BB," I say.

 I close my eyes try to sleep again while I rub BB-8's head until I feel something. "BB, why don't you go see what other type of medicine and food we have that may help me." 

Beep- op. 

"Rey, are you ok?" I open my eyes to Ben standing in front of me. 

"I've been better," I say. I roll on my back to wear I adjust the towel on my forehead. I grunt with pain, every muscle in my body feels like a 100 pounds more heavier. 

I look back at Ben and to see concern in his eyes. I smile trying to comfort him, "I'm okay Ben, don't worry I'll be fine."

 It doesn't work, his face gets more depressed.

He lowers himself onto his knees in front of me. I drop my smile, "What's wrong?" I ask him. 

"I don't want you looking for me anymore." 

"What! Why?!" I yell. My throats shots with pain and I immediately start coughing which turns into throwing up on the floor.

I lay back down with exhaustion and groan in pain. Ben grabs a rag off the floor and starts cleaning my face. "How are you-" 

"I don't know, but this is what I'm talking about. Your sick with a fever, and your pregnant. You shouldn't die trying to save something you already lost. I won't let that happen." His voice cracks and a tear runs down his face. 

I drop my gaze to the ground, "I'll think about it."

BEEP- OP- EEEEEEEEEP!!!!

We're interrupted by BB-8 screaming from outside. I quickly get up and start to run but vision is fuzzy and I slam into the wall hoping, Hoping! That I don't throw up, "Come on Rey, you can do this," I tell myself. I raise myself up from the wall and walk out of the falcon.

I gasp as I see BB-8 in the jaws of a creature that I'm not familiar with. It has 4 eyes, white-tannish color, with big teeth and claws, and with a tail that splits it's tail into 2 at the end. "BB!!" 

How? I ask myself. These creatures are only native to certain planets.. unless it got stuck here on accident..

I grab my lightsaber and charge at it. The creature drops BB-8 to the ground and growls at me "Bring it on!!" I yell at it. It probably doesn't understand me, I think. It charges at me with claws extended.

I dodge the first blow only to cause me to be dizzy. I strike at it but only to miss. It rises on it's forepaws and pushes me with it's a hind legs. I slam into a tree. My head explodes with pain, my vision is more fuzzy. I try to get up I fall back to the ground. I look up to see the creature is going to strike me. I quickly grab my saber and strike at its face it roars in angry. It extends it's arm and hits me again only to cut deep where my shoulder blade is. Blood splatter across my face. I try to wipe it away only to see the creature is about to finish me off until...

 BANG! 

A shot has been fired but I don't know where. The creature whelps in pain. I see a dark figure attack it. 

As they tumble together, the whelps and battle cries is the last thing I see and hear before my vision is fuzzy and everything goes black.
