Chapter 23

REY'S POV:

I wake up cold. I realize that they blankets were down to my waist. I turn over to my side to see Ben soundly asleep. I look around and notice its the middle of the night. I still have no clothes on. I smile as I remember what happened yesterday. 

My pregnancy hormones got the best of me and I started kissing him. One thing led to another and I realized that I couldn't handle it anymore so me and Ben...

Well you get the point. 

MOVING ON!

I try to go back asleep but I'm wide awake. I sigh I get out of bed and put on one of Ben's long sleeve on and a pair of his boxers. By the way, they are comfortable. I put on my boots and walk outside. My legs are sore.

I'm surprised to see Finn sitting down on one of the logs near the campfire. He must of barely made it because its still blazing pretty good. I look around and see Poe fast asleep in his sleeping bag on the ground

I sit next to him.

"Hey. " I say breaking the silence.

"Now you want to talk to me?"

I shake my head, "Well I wasn't ready to talk to you earlier. I didn't mean to hurt your feeling, its just... well.. "

"Well what?"

"Well Ben means a lot to me and I love him very much, but seeing you hate him breaks my heart."

He doesn't say anything for a while. He just stares at the fire.

I sigh and start to get up but he grabs my hand, "Look Rey I know I haven't been the bestest friend. And I really hate Ben ever since he sliced my back open... but I'll be a good friend for you. I see how much he makes you happy and if your happy, I'm happy."

I smile at him and wrap my arms around him, "Thank you."

"No problem, but it still kind of hard to think that you two are dating.. I would flip out more if you were pregnant or something."

A shiver runs down my back. I swallow the huge lump in my throat. If only he knew. I scratch the back of my neck. I clear my throat, "Um Finn I.. well.. I was wondering if you want to play a card game."

Oh come on why can't I tell him I'm pregnant. No I'll wait a little longer before I tell him. He still is getting over the fact that were a thing.

"Oh ya sure but its like one in the morning.. are you sure?"

"I'm sure."

"Alright I'll get the cards and we can play Goldfish.. and if your wondering why I was up I had to go to the bathroom, but then I couldn't sleep.. so ya"

He walks away to his bag and grabs the cards. I relax and lift my arms towards the fire to stay warm. I should do this more often. I like camping in the outdoors. Its really fun and nice.

Finn comes back and sits across from me and we start playing..

BEN'S POV:

I wake up in the morning to see Rey gone. I quickly put on a pair of sweats and socks and walk out with no shirt on. 

I stand in shock to see both Rey and Finn passed out on a log near the fire. I notice a bunch of cards scattered on the floor. I'm about to walk over to them until Poe starts walking towards me with a cup in his hand.

"It's best to leave them, let them get there beauty sleep."

" What were they doing up?"

"Finn couldn't sleep and she couldn't either and so they started playing cards."

I rub the sleep from my eyes, "Alright watch them for me, I'm going to wash my face at the stream."

"Alright have fun"

I walk towards the stream and began to clean my face. Once I'm done I stare at the water out of boredom. When the morning sun hit the water, something in the water made a strange sparkle. I reach my hand out to grab. Once I did I realize what it is.

Its a little ruby. I smile at it. Maybe I should give this to Rey. I quickly grab a rock and make a hole into the ruby. I rip off a piece of my sweats and make it into a string. I put through the hole and mark it with R+B on the back and put it into my pocket.

She is going to be so happy.

I start to walk back until I hear a scream. I sprint. Once I arrive at camp I see what's going on.

I start laughing as I see Rey's face covered in whip cream. I forgot I had that. I look Finn and Poe standing up laughing.

Poe has the bottle in his hand while Finn still looks half asleep.

REY'S POV:

I feel something tickling my face. I slap at my face hoping it will go away.. but no.

I scream as I feel a creamy substance all over my face. I try to wipe my eyes with my hand but my hand is also wet. I use my other hand and see all three men laughing at me. My face boils.

"Ah you little shits you think this is funny? How about this."

I slam my hand all over Poe's face making sure its covered in the creamy substance and take some off my face and rub all over Finn's as well.

I finally look at Ben and walk towards him. He puts his hands up, "I didn't do anything I was washing my face."

"Oh ya prove it."

"Well maybe you should get cleaned up first before I show you."

I furrow my brow.

"Please?"

I sigh and sit down so Ben can clean my face. Once he's done he sits next to me, "So what did you want to show me that was so important that I couldn't get whip cream on your face. "

He gives me a goofy smile. Uh oh.

He pulls something out of his pocket, "I wanted to give you this, "He pulls out a necklace with a ruby attached to it, "I made this for you as a thank you for everything.. believing in me, loving me, and never giving up on me.. Rey I love you with all my heart and I do anything for you. "

I'm speechless. No one has ever said those type of words to me before. I never thought I would be this thankful to have someone in my life. I don't know what to do but I let him put it around my neck. I smile as small tears start streaming down my face, "Thank you."

I kiss him. I don't know what I did to deserve this. I probably don't but its whatever. I wrap my arms around his neck and hug him for the longest time.

"Awwwww... "

Me and Ben both turn our heads to the side to see Poe and Finn watching us. I smile at them.

Ben breaks the silence, "So anybody want some breakfast? "

We all reply with a yes and start helping one another get ready...

So here's more fluff.... I know when your wondering when real drama will happen. I can't promise anything but I will probably start on the next chapter.
