Chapter 2

Yewon: "Seokjin!"

Seokjin was in a small cabin in the wood, it was their secret hide out whenever they want to meet, and he was cooking for Yewon. 

Seokjin: "You don't have to run, you can walk slowly. This cabin and I are not planning to run anywhere."

Yewon: "I-I need to tell you something!"

Seokjin: "What is it?"

Yewon: "Here, take this!"

Seokjin: "What is this?"

Seokjin opens the bag and sees that it is gold, he zips the bag back up and throws it back to Yewon.

Seokjin: "Why are you giving me this?"

Yewon: "I want you to use this money to take your mother out from the kisaeng."

Seokjin: "Yewon, I do not want your money. I will figure out another way without using your money."

He got up and walk out of the cabin and he stood outside, Yewon walk out of the cabin after him. 

Yewon: "Seokjin, you and I are best friends. Your mother is like my mother, I can not just let her stay in there. I want to help you."

Seokjin: "I-"

Yewon: "Did you forget our promise we made when we were 13?"

Seokjin: "I did not but-"

Yewon grabs his arm and put the bag of gold in his hand, he held it tightly. 

Yewon: "But in return, I want you to design me a sword that only belongs to me. Is it a deal?"

He turns and pull her into his arms, he hug her tightly in his embrace. 

Seokjin: "Of course. Even if you tell me to die for you, I will."

Yewon slip out of his embrace and look at him angrily but at the same time jokingly. 

Yewon: "You can not leave me, you must stay with me."

Seokjin grab her two hands and held it together with his, "I'm just saying that if one day, I must die in order to protect you, I will."

Yewon: "Do not die for me, you must stay with me. If you die for me, then I will kill myself and follow you because I promise that I will be with you wherever you go."

Seokjin touch the hair band of Yewon, the hair band was the embroidered cloth that he had given her when they were young. After a few moments of being too immerse into each other eyes, Seokjin starts to sniff a burnt smell. 

Seokjin: "THE FISH!"

They both rushed in and tries to help the fish but in the end, they have to throw it away since it was badly burnt. 

(It was at this moment, when I knew that I can and will die for her. She had saved me and my family from many things, she has done too much for me. In this lifetime, I will never leave her and let her go.)

Yewon was walking at the same time skipping happily towards the palace, she was stop by a servant.

Servant: "Princess, your royal father has asked for you."

Yewon: "I will be there."

She makes her way to her father's throne, knowing that he will be sitting there, and went quickly to hug him when she caught a glimpse of him.

Yewon: "Royal father!"

King: "My youngest daughter, how have you been? You have not come to see me lately, you grown thinner."

Yewon: "Royal father is always busy with the country, how can I bother you?"

King: "Yewon ah, you are not young anymore. It is time you help your weak father."

Yewon: "What is it father? I can always help. I have learn sword fighting from Seokjin, I can protect you, royal mother, and my sisters and brothers."

King: "Do you know that our country is growing weak?"

Yewon: "Royal father, if it is you who is taking care of the nation, why must we fear?"

King: "I wish that was true. But I will have to give this throne to your 1th brother when I am old, and I want your brother to have alliances with the strongest force."

Yewon: "Royal father..."

Yewon starts to notice where this conversation was directing towards and so she stood up and back away from her father. 

King: "Yewon, I want you to marry the 14th prince of the Westland in order to gain alliance with them."

Yewon: "No...no...royal father! You have 3th sister and 7th sister who are yet not married, and they are the rightful age to marry. Why must I go?"

King: "The king from the Westland had propose that I will have to send my youngest daughter for his 14th prince. You are the 13th princess, my youngest daughter."

Yewon: "No, I can not. I..."

King: "Yewon!"

Yewon: "I...I can not."

King: "I do not want to force you but in order to protect this nation, then I must force you if I have to!"

Yewon: "ROYAL FATHER!"

King: "You have fun your 16 years of life with Seokjin running around and acting as a kid, I did not stop you. But now, it is time to stop and learn to protect this nation!"

Yewon: "Royal father, then may I ask you a question?"

King: "Yewon ah..."

Yewon: "If I say I will end my life here if you force me to marry a unknown person for the sake of our country, will you save me or continue to advice me to marry?"

The king pause for a long while before letting out a sigh, Yewon sees his hesitation. 

Yewon: "Is it your country or your daughter's life?"

King: "Yewon, I must save my country. I have thousand of life on my shoulders, I can not disappoint them as King."

Yewon: "Yet you must disappoint me."

King: "Your 6th sister had left us into a foreign country because she loves this country, why can you not be the same?"

Yewon turns her back towards her father and said, "Because I have a dream and a goal to fulfill with only one person...and that person is not the 14th prince."
