Chapter 35

Sojung: "What is she doing here?"

Jimin help Yewon up but she faints in his arms, "Yewon!"

Sojung: "Guards, bring them to the palace!"

Tae and the mother came running towards Jimin when they heard Jimin scream out Yewon name. Tae came with his swords pointed at the guards while the mother came straight to Yewon. 

Mom: "What happen?"

Jimin: "They-"

Sojung: "I am a friend of the 13th princess, I can help."

When Tae look at her, he immediately went onto his knees, "9th princess..."

Sojung: "General Kim? What are you doing here?"

Tae: "It is a long story."

Sojung: "Hurry, let us take Yewon to the palace."

Tae: "But-"

Sojung: "Do not worry, I will not tell anyone. I understand."

After they took Yewon into Sojung's room, Jimin's mother came to check on her. 

Mom: "She is just weak, there is nothing much to worry about. She been through so much in the Southland and have not yet recover."

Tae turn towards Sojung, "9th princess, what bring you back to the Northland? Is the 5th prince here?"

Sojung: "The 5th prince had errands in the Northland and since it is my nation, I had come back to visit along with him."

Tae: "9th princess, may I talk to you secretly?"

After going outside and Tae made sure no one was around, he went on his knees. 

Tae: "Please do not let the 5th prince know about the 13th princess, I am afraid that if he knows... he may harm the 14th prince."

Sojung: "Get up, General Kim."

Tae continues to kneel, "I will not stand until you promise me. It was all my fault, if on that day I had save the princess like the 14th prince ordered, this will not happen. I will protect her and make sure she lives a new life with no ties to the royal family."

Sojung: "I promise, so now stand up."

Tae finally stands up but continues to lower his head at the princess. 

Sojung: "What had exactly happened? How did Princess Yewon end up like this?"

Tae: "We receive a warning that the 14th prince was attack on his way to the Southland. I was order to go protect the 14th prince and when I found him, he was badly hurt and the princess was taken away. When the King of the Southland found out that the 13th princess was present, he ordered his guards to bring her to him. They torture her with the Juri method and force the 14th prince to scar her face...so she can no longer...marry into the royal family."

Sojung gasp and tears can be seen from her eyes, "How can they...to a princess.."

Tae: "They did not think of her reputation as a princess...and if the 14th prince did not scar her, they would of killed her in front of him."

Sojung drops to the ground in shock, "Human are too cruel..."

Tae help her up and brought her back into the room where Yewon was in and she went directly toward her then lift the cloth that was on her face. She cries as she touches the scar that was on her right cheek. 

Sojung: "Why is fate treating you this way?"

Jimin look at her and then went onto his knees, "You are the 9th princess, can you help us?"

Sojung look at him, "Just tell me, I will help with the best of my ability."

Jimin: "We only wish to have a simple life in the Northland, please help us to have to simple life."

The mother then went on her knees and so did Tae, they all were willing to remove their pride in order for Yewon to live happily with no worries. 

Jimin: "Yewon and I was talking about a little home in the forest where there is a path that lead to the main city and near the river, if you help us... I will never forget your kindness."

Sojung stands up and brought them all to their feet, "I will help so do not kneel anymore."

After that day, Sojung have been secretly building the house behind Namjoon back with the help of the servants, Tae, and Jimin. 

It was the third day when they had finish building the house in the forest and it was beautiful. There was a gate that opens into the house and the gate was filled with vines that created flowers, the house was big with four different rooms and three small building on both side and the back; One building was for the small clinic, the other was the kitchen, and the restroom.

Yewon was force to stay in the 9th princess room and was told that she needed to stay there in order to recuperate. 

Jimin: "Thank you 9th princess, Yewon would be happy when she see this surprise."

Yewon was sitting in the room, she then stands up after putting her cloth on look at the maid that was standing near the door. 

Yewon: "What is your name?"

Maid: "My name is Eunjung."

Yewon: "Can I...go outside?"

Eunjung: "The princess had ordered me to keep you safe in here, I can not."

Yewon: "I have been staying in here for days, just for a bit for fresh air... can I?"

Eunjung: "I can not, please forgive me."

Yewon look at her and then at the door, she fell to the ground and act as if she was suffocating. 

Yewon: "Air... I need air..."

Eunjung: "Miss!"

She runs to Yewon and Yewon grab onto her, "Air...save me. I need to go outside...I have weak lungs..."

Eunjung: "What am I going to do?

Yewon: "I am dying, I need air."

Eunjung pull Yewon up and open the door quickly, she pull Yewon to the garden that was inside the 9th princess's hall. 

Eunjung: "Breathe slowly!"

Yewon then breathe slowly and then act as if nothing happened, "Thank you for letting me out!"

Eunjung: "You lie to me!"

Yewon laugh and then walk around the garden, she touches the flower and look at the sky. She closes her eyes and took a deep breathe in then let it out, the breeze blew the cloth back and forth on her face and she enjoy it. 

Yewon: "The Northland has nice air, it is good that we choose to live here."

Namjoon: "Princess Sojung? Is that you?"
