Chapter 10

Namjoon: "How I wish that one tree will be me."

Yewon: "It is getting late, you should go sleep."

She stands up and wipe the dusks off her body and was ready to enter her bedroom when Namjoon grab onto her hand with tears in his eyes. 

Yewon: "Namjoon..."

Namjoon: "I guess in the end, I will not be happy no matter which path I choose."

Yewon grab onto his hand and pull him in for a hug, she held him in her arms.

Yewon: "You will never walk alone, Namjoon. I am your friend and will always be a friend that you can always lean on."

Namjoon raise his hands to hug her tightly, he did not want to let her go and wish for the moment to last but it never does. He lets her go and smile weakly at her with sadness in his eyes, it was as if his eyes were asking for her to run away with him so they can live happily. 

Namjoon: "The night has to come to an end, may you rest well... Princess."

Yewon: "You too, 5th prince."

As he walk away from her chambers, he felt himself letting everything out. Each step that he takes away from her was a painful step that made him cry in sorrow. A few more steps away from her chamber, he drop to his knees and cried. 

Did I really love her? Why is it that I must regret like this? She is the only thing in this world that had made my world a bit brighter but now, I must let her go. I do not wish to watch her die like a flower that wither when take it away of the true owner.

The morning came and the 5th prince was depress and tired from everything last night, it was time to let go of everything.

The King had call for everyone presence at the guest room because there was a special guest that entering the palace. 

King: "Please sit everyone, I have a very important announcement to make."

When everyone sit, Yewon begin to look at Namjoon since he does not look happy. As he continue to look at him, Jungkook kept looking at her. He grab onto her hand and smile when she turn to look at him, at that moment, Namjoon notice it and look away from them.

King: "Today, I have great news for my 5th son! Get up!"

Namjoon stands up and sigh as he bow respectfully to his royal father.

10th prince: "Oh, is 5th brother getting something special?"

King: "Come in!"

An elegant woman, with rosy cheeks, walk into the room and caught the eyes of every man in the room. She was rather tall, slim, and very proper in the way she walk and smile. 

Princess Sojung: "Greetings to Royal father and mother."

King: "Please stand, princess."

Sojung: "Thank you for your kindness, your majesty."

King: "Today, princess Sojung will be engage to my 5th son Namjoon. The wedding will be a week from today."

Yewon look towards at Namjoon and he look sadly at her, he continue to only look at her despite the King's word of engagement. 

2nd prince: "What are you doing 5th brother? Hurry and thank the royal father for the marriage."

Namjoon went on his knees and thank the king for his kindness, but as he goes down to pay his respect, he still kept his eyes onto Yewon as if it will be the last time he will ever see her again. 

King: "Namjoon ah, I want you to show Princess Sojung around and let her know the chamber she will be staying at."

Namjoon: "Yes, royal father."

It was the end of the decree of the king and Namjoon must take the princess around, his eyes were at Yewon until the end. He knew that the moment he accept the marriage proposal, nothing will be the same again. 

When they were about to leave, Jungkook and Yewon came to introduce themselves. 

Jungkook: "Greetings Princess Sojung, I am the 14th prince and this is my wife the 13th princess of the Eastland."

Sojung: "Greetings 14th prince and 13th princess. I am Sojung, the 9th princess of the Northland. It is my honor to meet both of you."

Jungkook: "Now I understand why many people have said that the 9th princess of the Northland is a fairy, it is no rumor."

Sojung: "You praise me too much 14th prince, the 13th princess of the Eastland is a beauty as well. You must treat her well."

Yewon and Namjoon both continue to only look at each other silently. Yewon did not understand why Namjoon keeps looking at her, she want to ask him if he was fine or if he needed to tell her something. But to Namjoon, the only person he can see was her, and the person who he wants was also her. 

Jungkook: "Then we will not  bother you and my 5th brother, enjoy the view."

When Jungkook walks away, he looks back noticing that Yewon did not follow him so he came back and pull her away. 

When he pull her away, Namjoon's felt as if his heart had shattered. When you watch someone you love being in someone else hand, there is nothing that can hurt more. But he knows that she would not like it if he was to hold on to her, he can only stay as a friend or a brother.

Namjoon and the princess were walking together and he was showing all her the places in the palace but he was not happy.

Sojung: "I understand you, you do not wish for this marriage."

Namjoon: "I am the 5th prince, and the Westland need an alliance with the Northland."

Sojung: "In your heart, you have her."
