Chapter 4

While in the midst of fighting, Yewon was kicked in the leg causing her to fall down. 

Seokjin: "Yewon!"

When Seokjin runs over to Yewon, the guards quickly rush in to attack Seokjin. One guard runs over to him with a sword facing towards him, his mother sees the sword coming and push herself to block the sword for Seokjin. 

Grandfather: "DAUGHTER!"

The grandfather runs over to the guard with a stick in attempt to attack him but he slice his neck causing him to fall near his daughter. 

Yewon: "Grandfather! Aunty!"

Seokjin turns towards his mother and run to hold her. 

Seokjin: "Mother!"

Yewon: "I command all of you to STOP!"

The leader of the guard, general Hoseok, command the rest of the guards to stop and grab onto the princess. He never plan on hurting Seokjin's mother and grandfather because the grandfather had treated him very well during the past but because he was order from the king, he can not deny. 

Seokjin: "Grandfather! Mother!"

Grandfather: "You-you must live on and fight for justice like I taught you."

Yewon: "Grandfather!"

Grandfather: "Princess, I lived a long life. Do not blame yourself too much... please take care of my grandson..."

With that being said to Yewon, he fell into a deep sleep that he can never return from. All the memories with him flash quickly in Yewon and Seokjin minds. When they were young, he would cook sweet buns for them and taught Seokjin to learn sword fighting although he was not good at it. He only want Seokjin to fight for justice and live a life for himself, but now he is gone forever. 

Seokjin screams for his grandfather but his arms were holding tightly to his mother, he could only watch his grandfather closes his eyes. 

Seokjin: "Mother! Do not leave me! I still have to spend a life with you to repay those time we can not be together!"

Seokjin's mother: "You done enough, my son."

She reach for his face and wipe the tears away while smiling at her one and only son. 

Seokjin's mother: "I was happy that I was born to be your mother but at the same time disappointed in myself that you did not have a normal childhood that you deserve."

Seokjin: "Do not say that mother! In this world, I am happy that you became my mother and no one else did!"

Seokjin's mother reach out towards Yewon but she can not touch her, the sweetness in her eyes forgive Yewon. 

Seokjin's mother: "Because of you, I was able to be with my son in my last moment. It is not your fault, princess. "

Yewon starts crying harder and free herself from the guards grasp, she runs to Seokjin's mother and held her hand. 

Yewon: "I will take you to the palace! I will have the imperial doctor to save you!"

Seokjin's mother held Yewon hand tightly and shook her head. 

Seokjin's mother: "I am tired. Please live a long life princess..."

Her voice begin to fade away and her hand that was holding strongly to Yewon's hand became weak, after a few seconds, she had let go of everything and peacefully close her eyes. 

Yewon: "Aunty!"

Seokjin: "Mother!"

The guards came to grab the princess and pull her away from the body, but she continues to hold tightly onto her hand not letting go. Seokjin let go of his mother and grab his sword, he was eager to kill everyone and run away with Yewon and the bodies of his family. 

Yewon sees Seokjin and secretly took away a sword of the guard and held it firmly, once again she was along side with Seokjin. She wants to protect him and leave with him. 

But Seokjin was weak, both mentally and physically, causing him to be cut from swords around him; he continues to fight. General Hoseok pull out his sword and stab Seokjin in the stomach forcing Seokjin to fall onto the ground. 

Yewon: "Seokjin!"

She drop the sword and pushes Hoseok away, she grabs onto him and cries. 

Yewon: "Are you okay? I will take you away."

Seokjin: "I-I guess I can not fulfill our promise anymore."

Yewon: "No, do not say that. If you leave, I will leave with you. We promise to be with each other."

Seokjin: "Yo-you have to live."

Yewon: "I won't live without you!"

Seokjin: "You must..."

General Hoseok grabs onto Yewon and pull her away from him, but Seokjin held her hand tightly just like how Yewon held tightly to his. 

Yewon: "Seokjin!"

Hoseok pulls harder and finally force them to let go of each other, Seokjin pressure himself to get up and grab his sword again. He runs toward Yewon and Hoseok stab him again in the chest, after stabbing him, he kicks him to the ground. 

Yewon: "Stop! I will go! Just leave him alone!"

Hoseok throws Yewon to the other guards and walk towards Seokjin who was on his knees, he then grab onto his sword and held it up high in order to strike Seokjin. 

Yewon: "No! Stop! I said I will go!"

He strikes Seokjin from the chest towards his stomach. 

Yewon: "Seokjin!!"

Seokjin fell hard onto the ground but his eyes were on Yewon. She continues to pull away from the guards but they held her firmly, Hoseok came back to her and grab her. They pull her away from Seokjin but he gather his last amount of strength and said, "I like you, Yewon... and a lot."

His words causes her to cry more and tries to free herself to go to him but she can not, they were too strong. She saw him close his eyes slowly and his hand that was reaching out towards her fell to the ground, she lost hope and the source of her happiness has ended.

Yewon was on her knees in front of the King and the queen; her mother and father. She look at her arm and took off the embroidered cloth that Seokjin gave her, she held it tightly.  

Queen: "Daughter, what happen to you? You look like a mess."

She did not answer.

King: "Tomorrow, you will depart. "

Yewon: "Royal father, you won."

King: "Yewon, I-"

Yewon: "You must be very happy, royal father. I lost my happiness, my freedom, and all my hopes."

King: "Do not blame me, I can make it up for you. I will give you anything you want whether it is money, clothing, jewelry, or a nation!"

Yewon: "You took away the only thing I wanted badly, there is nothing now that you can give me in return. Tomorrow, I will depart and marry the 14th prince as you desire."

She stands up and walk away from the room and enter her room that was located on the other side of the palace. She seats herself in front of the mirror, her red eyes and bloody clothes was the only thing that reflected back, and she tie the cloth in her hair. 

Yewon look into the mirror, and she change, there was evil and hatred in her eyes. 

Yewon: " When I kill the 14th prince, I will come find you in the afterlife Seokjin."
