Chapter 21

After eating in the morning, they were on their way again out of the Westland. 

It was around the afternoon when they have finally left the Westland and in another day, they will be entering the Southland.

Guard 2: "14th prince, our horse seems to be tired. How about we rest for a few hours until they are able to travel again?"

Jungkook: "Since we are almost entering the Southland tomorrow, we can rest."

They were resting and opening their lunch that they pack for the afternoon, Jungkook came out of the carriage to rest with them and enjoy the forest vibe. 

Guard 3: "14th prince, this food may not be the best but please enjoy for your energy."

Jungkook: "This is enough."

He sees Yewon sitting a few feet away from him and he went towards her with his food and put it towards her.

Jungkook: "I see that you were not eating this morning, eat this so you have the strength to go another day."

Yewon: "Thank you 14th prince, but you must eat as well."

Jungkook grab onto her hand and put the roasted piece of meat that was on a banana leaf into her hands. 

Jungkook: "Eat it."

Yewon smiles when he walks away because he starts to look alive again. There was no pain in his eyes like how there was a few months ago.

When Yewon was about to eat, she noticed an arrow going straight to Jungkook so she drops the food and went to pull Jungkook. 

The guards notice it and stand up, "Protect the 14th prince!"

All the three guards wanted to protect both the Jungkook and Yewon so they form a circle around them.

There was a laugh and then about 15 male men came out from hiding with sword in their hands, there was one man in particular that seem to be the leader. He came out and point the sword towards them and smiles, "Give us everything that is valuable and the woman."

Guard 1: "How dare you! Do you know who you are attacking? He is the 14th prince of the Westland and the woman you are talking about is the 13th princess of the Eastland! If anyone dares touch them, their head will be cut off!"

Leader: "This is my turf that you are on! I am the leader here and no one will stop me from getting what I want! ATTACK!"

They all started running towards them and Yewon saw a stick, she grab hold on to it and enter the circle that the guards form in order to protect Jungkook.

Jungkook: "Yewon!"

One of the guards grab something inside his armor and shot it within the air. There was a long bang up in the air and he starts attacking. 

It was a warning bomb that the 5th prince had gave him in case something happen, it will bring warning no matter how far it is.

As they charge towards the guards, Yewon made sure she protect the guards and Jungkook. Although she was not as advance in sword fighting, it was enough to deal with petty thieves. 

Jungkook saw a man dead on the ground with two sword, he runs to him and took both of the sword. 

Jungkook: "Yewon!"
