Chapter 25

Yewon held the hairpin tightly and continue to stand there for a while before grabbing the pair of fresh clothes. She changes in the cabin, her mind still messy after seeing the hairpin.

It was a few moments later when Taehyung came back home with three fishes in his hand, he gave it to Eunha and Yewon can be seen walking slowly towards him.

Taehyung: "There were many fishes Eunha, but I thought maybe three will be good for tonight."

Yewon just kept walking until she stops right in front of him,  "How long were you planning to lie to me?"

Taehyung: "Pardon?"

Eunha: "Is there a misunderstanding? Umji ah..."

Yewon rip off the cloth that was on his face and when she did, she saw him. 

Yewon: "Seokjin...why did you lie to me?"

Eunha became shock and can only look at her husband and Yewon.

Seokjin: "Yewon ah...I-I am sorry."

Eunha: "Yewon?"

Seokjin: "Eunha, can you leave us for a bit?"

Eunha nod her head and left the two of them alone together but she did not leave, she was standing behind a tree and listening.

Seokjin: "Yewon, I-"

Yewon slap his face and starts to cry in denial. 

Yewon: "Why? Why did you not find me!? Why did you not come take me away!?"

Seokjin: "I have my reasons-"

Yewon: "I will not listen! You betray me!"

Seokjin grab onto her hand, "I am sorry! Yewon, please!"

Yewon pull her hand away, "All these months, I blame myself over and over again because of you! But you were alive and well, you even marry and have a wife! And you love her! Do you know how much I hurt Jungkook because of you! I deny his love and hurt him because of you!"

Seokjin: "Let me explain!"

Yewon: "You betray our oath and forgot everything about me! You did not look for me! You did not...did not come save me..."

Seokjin starts crying in guilt, "Yewon... please..."

Yewon pull out the cloth and the hairpin that she gave him, "What happened to this? I had always kept this stupid cloth on me every time but you kept the hairpin in a box locked away! You saw me on that day, you saved me, but you did not tell me who you were... yet you lied to me that you were Taehyung! All these days, you lied to me!"

Seokjin: "Yewon..."

Yewon threw the cloth and the hairpin on the ground, "You did not look for me...you gave up on me and marry someone else. You kept someone else in your heart..."

Seokjin: "I have to marry her!"

Yewon scream and cover her ears, she fell down and begin hitting the ground because she thought about all the times she had hurt Jungkook because of feeling guilty of towards Seokjin's death; but he was never dead. 

Yewon: "You gave up on me! You left me in the Westland!"

Seokjin: "Yewon!"

Seokjin grab her and pull her up, he hugs her tightly, "I am sorry. I really am, I should of not believe General Hoseok and find you."

Yewon then pull herself away and lift her hand to touch his face, "Why did we found each other so late? Now... you already have a wife... and I was already someone wife...we can not go back anymore."

Yewon drop her hand down and took a step back, she then turns and begin walking away but Seokjin grab onto her. 

Seokjin: "Where are you going?"

Yewon: "Somewhere I can forget and maybe...restart a new life without you in my mind and Jungkook."

Seokjin: "Yewon, I will not let you go like this."

Yewon: "You have a wife, and I was someone wife. No matter what, we were not meant to be from the start. So let me go."

Seokjin drag her into the cabin and push her in, he lock the door from outside causing Yewon to bang the door for him to open. 

Seokjin: "I know what you will do, and I will not allow it! I promise you to protect you, I will do it even if you hate me."

Yewon fell to the ground crying and hate herself for hurting Jungkook. She was not upset at Seokjin for being alive and not saving her, she was upset at herself for not being able to let Seokjin go when she knew that in her heart, Jungkook had took it. 

Jungkook had made his way into her heart, and because of this, she learn to forgive and forget the promise and that oath that was broken. They were not young anymore like how they used to be, everything changes as time pass and those who will mature will be mature.

Seokjin was sitting outside of the cabin near the fire when Eunha came and sit beside him.

Eunha: "Why did you not tell her?"

Seokjin: "Because it did not change the fact that I did not look for her and gave up on her."

Eunha: "I knew from the beginning that you marry me because of the mistake that night."

Seokjin: "It...it was not a mistake."

Eunha: " Every time you get drunk, you will always call out her name.  On that night, you mistook her for me and slept with me. In your heart, it was always her."

Seokjin: "Nothing will change, I have to take responsibility for that night. Also, in her heart, I am no longer present. I do not wish to force her to be by my side again."

Eunha: "Then you will keep hurting inside. I want you to be happy. I am willing to give you up even if that means I-"

Seokjin: "You are my wife. I will not hurt you."

Eunha: "Because of that, you always get hurt. You always understand other and is afraid to hurt those who love you."

Seokjin: "But by helping everyone else, I hurt her the most in the end."

Eunha: "She will probably not feel like that. Trust me."

Eunha look towards the cabin and smile because she knew that Yewon was listening to everything that was being said. 

She then took Seokjin by the hand and brought him near the cabin, she open it and ask for him to enter. When he did, she push him in and lock the door.

Eunha: "Even if it hurts me, I just want you to be happy... my husband."

Seokjin: "Eunha... open the door."

Yewon: "Seokjin ah...can you please... tell me what happened to you all these months?"
