Chapter 12

The next morning when the night is still young and the chicken have not yet cried, Yewon pack her clothing quickly, she was in a rush that she quickly grab onto the hairpin Jungkook got her and put her hair into a bun, then she run toward the chamber door however, in front of her was Eunbi.

Eunbi: "My lady, where are you going right now?"

Yewon: "Eunbi, you are my best friend, let me leave."

Eunbi spread her two arms out and tries to stop her from leaving, "My lady, I have no stop you before but the 14th prince, he loves you."

Yewon: "I am going to leave regardless of you stopping me or not."

Eunbi: "But-  the horse will be to your right when you run toward the gate, there are soldiers on the left wing and on the top wing so you should be careful. My lady, I have been your servant 2 months now and you have treated me like a younger sister. I want you to be happy."

Yewon grab onto her arm and said, "Go with me."

Eunbi:" I am just a palace maid."

Yewon: "We will leave and live our life with freedom. I want you to come with me."

Eunbi: "Growing up, I never have a family and you are like a sister to me. I will leave with you, let us go now."

While running towards the gate, someone was standing in front of the gate with two horses already there; Yewon begin to slow her steps as she was going closer to him with Eunbi. 

Yewon: "Namjoon..."

Namjoon: "I will leave with you."

Yewon: " I can not have you leave with me. Your wedding is in the next couple days and you are the 5th prince of the Westland."

Namjoon: "I DO NOT WISH TO BE MARRY!"

Yewon: "I am sorry, 5th prince. Please give us the horses and act as if you did not see us."

Namjoon: "You told me that I will not walk alone, do you remember?"

Yewon: "I remember but- "

Namjoon: "Then I will not let you walk alone too. Let us go!"

Yewon look at him for a while and then nods her head, Namjoon pushes Eunbi onto the horse and rode on one with her since she does not know how to ride a horse while Yewon have her own horse. 

As they rode away, the morning came quickly and Jungkook run to Yewon's chambers but he did not go inside. He wait outside for her with a flower banquet, the only thing he wanted to do was to surprise her with the flowers that he bought early in the morning. 

While waiting for a long time, he ask the servants and none of them said they saw Eunbi nor the princess come out of the chamber since last night. With that being said, Jungkook rush inside to see the room empty with the clothes being gone.

Jungkook: "GUARDS! I COMMAND YOU TO FIND PRINCESS YEWON AND HER SERVANT EUNBI!"

The search for the princess and her servant was out, and all the palace guards went looking for the runaway princess of the 14th prince. 

Jungkook was sitting in Yewon room and looking at the empty room, he became worried that maybe someone kidnap her and took her away from him. He continue to be worried until a guard ran into the room with some bad news. 

Jungkook: "What happened? Did you guys find her?"

Guard: "I am sorry, 14th prince. But to let you know, I believe that the princess and her servant had ran away with the 5th prince."

Jungkook became anger and said, "HOW DARE YOU!"

The guard went onto his knees, "One of my guard from the left wing had stated that the 5th prince had asked for two horses in order to take the 9th princess of Northland to visit the outside palace. However, the 9th princess did not know any of this when I had asked her about the 5th prince."

Jungkook grew mad and threw the teacup that was on the table towards the ground and slam his hand on the table, he then remembers why Namjoon was looking at Yewon all the time and how every time he will see them together. 

Jungkook: "No wonder why she tries to kill me, she was in love with my 5th brother all along!"

After falling down onto the chair, he told the guard, "If you find them, bring them to me instantly!"

When the guard left, Jungkook became angry and threw everything he saw from the room. He cried and bang the mirror onto the ground causing it to break, he then grab a mirror piece and starts slicing the bed with all the bed sheets; his hand in blood. 

Jungkook: "Jungkook, you were such a fool! She had never loved you!"

He then remembers the night when she came back with Namjoon and all the time when she said Namjoon was better than him. Everything begin to add up in his mind that they were having an affair all along. 

Jungkook: "I am so stupid!  They were in love behind my back!"

Yewon knew that they could not escape anymore when she heard the other horses coming near her, so she stops.

Namjoon: "Why did you stop? We still have the chance to outrun them."

Yewon: "I do not wish for you and Eunbi to end like how Seokjin ends his life for me."

Namjoon: "Yewon!"

Yewon: "I will get caught but you two must not be caught. I will misguide them so during that time, go back to the palace. You two must say you did not know that I plan to runaway-"

Namjoon: "I will not do that!"

Yewon: "IT IS THE ONLY WAY I CAN PROTECT BOTH OF YOU! SO GO! We have no more time! They will not kill me, he will not kill me!"

Eunbi: "Princess!"

Yewon urges her horse to run towards the direction she hears the other horse while Namjoon runs back towards the direction to the palace. 

Namjoon: "Yewon, you must come back to us."

After misguiding them for a while, she finally stop resisting and allow them to catch her. It was dark when they took her to her chamber where the 14th prince was waiting for her return, as she walks in, she notice Jungkook bloody hands and the flower on the table. 

The guards were told to close the door and wait outside.

Jungkook: "What was not enough for you to stay?"
