Second Chance - Chapter 22

Dylan turned around and was faced with three vampires baring his fangs at him. He also noticed a woman in her fourties with long curly blonde hair and bright green eyes.

I sniffed in the choking scent and immediately I knew that this woman is not human but a powerful seer, she is the legendary seer, I have heard of her before but I thought she has perished in the fight with Vonda and my father. I can't help but noticed that she resembles Vonda , they had the same colour hair , eyes and features. The only difference is the way that wear their hair,  Vonda had silky straight hair and this seer had curly hair.

Instinctively,  I felt my claws growing and my eyes turning into the complete soulless black , I quickly push Ciara behind me to protect her from the oncoming threat. The vampires tried to leap towards Ciara, but the ruby ring that she was wearing shone with the brightest glow and incinerated the vampires' skin when they went near. They were leaping around with burning pain in their flesh.

I hurriedly scooped her up wanting to dematerialized out from there while the vampires were distracted by the burning of their flesh but was surprised to find that my ability to dematerialize was being kibosh by the seer who has release a formidable force onto me.

Just then, Keith, Kelly , Jerediah and Luke materialized into my room taking on the fight with the three vampires. Kelly's eyes grew an inch bigger when she saw the seer in the room, she was shocked to the core. "You are alive", she yelled.  In that very instant, the entire room no longer seems like a romantic scene where a proposal just took place but was transformed to a chaotic scene of battle. Jerediah, Luke and I took on the vampires easily while Keith and Kelly tried to take on the seer but her powers are too compelling for them and just when they were distracted by her blow, she lunged at Ciara and grabbed her by her arms. The ruby ring shone and causes the seer to take a few steps back, she used her internal force to hold onto Ciara and dematerialize from the scene with Ciara, yelling at the top of her lungs for help.

I turned but was too late to grab Ciara's legs before she dematerialize from the room.  The moment that I discovered that my ability to dematerialize is back, I took off to follow Ciara's scent. I found Derek and his pack, already shifted into their wolve form chasing after a certain direction too , until we came to a halt when the scent was muffled away by that seer. I cursed at the fact that I was unable to find my Ciara and that seer is definately in cahoots with those vampires which only means that she will be offering Ciara to their leader.  I felt a mixture of emotions of panic of what is going to happen to Ciara and anger washed over me. I materialized into my hotel room and vented my anger out on the corpse of the vampires who were already dead. Dylan constantly stab them in their heart with the silver dagger until the whole floor was covered with their filthy, black blood that oozes out from their body. Kelly used her power to incinerate them and within seconds, their existance has turned into ashes. Derek went up to my room with his pack of six men now in their human form. Everyone of us are panicking in the room.

I felt my voice broke up and look at Kelly with fear in my eyes , fear for Ciara's life,  and I heard myself asking her who that seer was. She is my mother's twin sister who has taken the path of evil and uses her power to do evil for her own gain. She is the one who killed my father. My mother together with your dad has went into battle with her and they managed to kill her ten years ago. I am utterly shocked to see her just now, she has returned from the grave. Her name is Vivian.

I need to come out with a solution fast and strategize our next move to find and rescue Ciara fast before he gets to her. At least, I am assured that their leader couldn't lay a finger on her not even near her while she has that ring on , which could buy us some time before that seer concort a spell to break the powers of the ring. I could see that she couldn't hold on to Ciara for long too , she was using her internal force to hold her and not her hands.

We gathered everyone at my castle, and when we materialized back there, the look on my parents' face were one of apprehension and sorrow.

Kelly immediately informed the crowd about Vivian and Vonda was taken aback by that news. This would only signify that it will be a narrow victory for them.

A thought came flooding into Vonda's head, Dylan she screamed, you could try sending Ciara a mind link to see if you could find out her location. You should be able to do it since the both of you have consummated your bond. Dylan glimmed with a sudden realization of hope and sent Ciara a link.

Ciara was tired and felt her body weaken when she opened her eyes to see that she was being lock up by chains to a bed. She took in her surrounding, she was in a small room, dark, dirty with nothing in it, except the bed she was on and it has a musky smell. She look out of the window and see no signs of civilization but only darkness and trees. She must be in a forest.

Suddenly, she felt a tinkle of sensation in her ring finger and saw her ring glow providing the only path of light in the room. She felt a message flash across her mind, she saw Dylan's disquieted face asking her how is she and where is she in her head. She told Dylan that she only saw trees and darkness and it seems that she is in a house in a forest. Before she could say further, she heard the squeaking sound of the room door opened and the lady who brought her here appeared only to release her power on her knocking her out of consciences again.

Dylan kept trying to establish a connection with Ciara but was unable to get any response from her.  Vivian must have knocked her out of consciences preventing her from getting help.

The room was all too quiet, dead silence and eerie , until Derek broke the silence in the room . Dylan, we werewolves live in the forest, if she is in a forest , we should be able to track her down, with that he and his pack immediately went out to track her down.

Dylan was full of worry and fear for Ciara, it is written all over his face. This night was suppose to be the best night in their lives, but that rogue leader had to destroy it.  I will find out who is he and I will make him pay for all his wrongdoings, his voice was thunderous and filled with fury as he spoke.

Dylan dematerialized into his room and drowned himself with alcohol again as the pain of not knowing the whereabouts of Ciara , knowing that she is in danger and he is unable to be there for her to protect her is like stabbing a silver dagger into his heart and pulling it out only to stab the same wound all over again.

He was infuriated with himself for his incapacity to save her from danger and blame himself for not being with her when she needed him the most now. Another concern will be her health, it is wearing her down, if he doesn't finds her in time to change her, she may die from her illness even if that seer doesn't kill her.

Dylan cried a river of tears till he was out of tears and there was still no sign of hope after three days of endless searching by himself, Keith, Kelly , Vonda , Derek and his packs. In a matter of days, Dylan would be going crazy if they are still unable to locate Ciara.

The joy in my heart have seem to dissipate the moment Ciara was kidnapped and this joy will only return until I find her again.

Dylan have been painstakingly trying to send mind links to Ciara , hoping to receive any response from her but apparently she must still be knock out.

All of a sudden, a tinkling sensation came to Dylan's mind. Ciara , he called......
