Second Chance - Chapter 30

After spending the last two days together, chilling out and having a merry time together, Dylan decided to invite both Caleb and Janet to live in his castle together with him and Ciara. He was sure that this will put a smile on Ciara’s face.

Caleb happened to learn from Dylan about Victor and hence a vacancy for the position of a butler was now open in the castle. Caleb recommended one of his good friends, Wilfred who is currently working as a delivery driver for the blood bank. Wilfred is a person who is not afraid of hard work as he grew up in an orphanage not knowing who his real parents were, hence he grew up with the mentality that he has to work hard for everything in life and nothing comes freely.

Dylan decided to invite Wilfred over to his wedding to observe him before deciding to offer him the job.

Hey my darling, are you ready for tonight？Tonight was the biggest event in history, it’s the wedding of Prince Dylan and Princess Ciara. The guest list was long and consists of people from all walks of lives; it ranges from vampires, werewolves, seers and humans.

Honey, I am ready, in fact I can’t wait to be officially called your wife. Dylan looped his arm into Ciara’s and smiled a wide smile, greeting the group of guys and ladies.

The driveway leading to the castle was decorated with posters of Prince Dylan with Princess Ciara with candlesticks and a flower wreath on each candlestick made from red, purple roses and white lilies. The entrance of the castle was lighted with this luminous signage that’s glows and sparkles in the darkness of the night. It says welcome to the wedding of Prince Dylan and Princess Ciara.

The ladies were busy helping Ciara with her makeup, hair, nails and gown. Finally when the ladies are done with their work of art, Ciara glided to the long standing mirror and gaze at her own reflection. She gasped in awe, is that me in the mirror?  The ladies scurried over to her and said yes, Ciara that’s how gorgeous you look tonight. Ciara felt like she was on top of the moon that she is actually going to marry Dylan tonight. Everything felt like a dream to her, three months ago she was a normal girl who was suffering from an incurable illness and was on the verge of dying and now she is a vampire full of vigor and she is going to marry a man who loves her more than anything in the world, but not just a normal man, she is going to marry a vampire prince. Tears started to well up in her eyes when she reminiscences about her past but the ladies were in time to stop the tears from running down and ruin her make up.

A soft knock could be heard on the door of the powder room. Dylan called out, is my lovely bride ready for me to take her down the hall?

Please come in Prince Dylan, called the ladies. A turn of the knob and an extremely delighted groom stepped in. The moment his eyes landed on his beautiful bride, he gasped and glided over to her and took her delicate hands into his. He was stunned beyond words to take in the full beauty of his bride. She was a ravishing beauty, with her flawless skin glowing under the cascading light and her dark brown hair was curled to perfection with loose curls hanging loosely down her waist, her long fringe was braided across her face that transmute her image to be one like a Greek goddess. Her wedding gown made in iridescent shades of cream, ivory and champagne gold, the top was a bustier with diamonds sewn onto it that flows down to an abundant ball skirt made up of asymmetrical ruffles.

Darling, you look like a goddess tonight, I am so proud to have you as my wife. Ciara smiled shyly and a pink hue flushed across her face. Dylan, you look charming yourself too. Dylan was wearing his cream white long sleeve shirt with dress pants and tuxedo coat in matching iridescent shades of ivory and champagne gold. He carefully took Ciara’s hands and led her down the spiral staircase with Kelly, Janet, Gracey and Sonia helping her with the train of beaded tulle behind her dress. The train was so long that the four ladies had to take extra care in lifting it up so that Ciara will not trip down the stairs.
