Early in the morning, when the sun has not risen above the horizon, the silence of the castle was disrupted by the clamorous buzzing sound of the phone. It was still dawn and everyone in the castle were still in their slumber, but Dylan had to crawl out of his bed and answer the phone in his room. He has been receiving more and more calls every day reporting about the same incident of flesh eating creatures lurking around savaging and feeding on humans, vampires and werewolves. The feeble ones in all the races are always the ones that ended up as preys.

Dylan was worn to a frazzle with the constant reporting of such an incident and was beyond exhaustion from his case work which is piling up to the sky.

Finally, after three nights of tracking and patrolling, Keith has reported findings on the case. The knights and werewolves have managed to track their lodging down. They live in an old, filthy looking house in the woods, but what makes it weirder is that the house used to belong to the dead legendary seer, Vivian. There were legions of them, all wearing the same blank expression. They look like a bunch of manipulated bozos, which were created and placed under a spell to take orders from their master to slaughter and feed on flesh.

Dylan was rationalizing with these new findings, he was sizing up all the information that he got and puzzling them together. After a minute of silence, he looked up at the two confused men, Keith and Caleb; I would think that these creatures that we are dealing with are called zombies.  Zombies are dead corpse walking around like a loco and following instruction to kill and feed on the feeble. That would explain the sudden disappearance of so many corpse and several grave yards being dug up.

However, the part about them residing in Vivian’s house was a crucial but unexplainable portion. Dylan slumped further down into his leather chair, with the palms of his hands covering his eyes as he couldn’t fathom how the dead seer could have anything to do with this mystery. He confirmed it by asking Keith if Victor is dead. Keith sent a mind link to the guards and immediately received a response from them that Victor just passed away yesterday and they have incinerated his body.  Dylan decided to arrange for a meeting with Vonda and Kelly soon to check on how corpse could raise from the dead and become killing machines. This has to be a work of a seer but it can’t be explained how when the only two seers left were Vonda and Kelly. Knowing them, they will never resort to using their dark magic for evil purposes; someone else is at work to frame the seers.

The police chief called up to seek a favour from Dylan asking if it is convenient for him to put up thirty children which the officers have found in their stations and churches after the massive massacre as their fathers had to work and there is no one to look after them during the working hours. Dylan was fine with it after all he had one hundred vacant rooms in his castle.

As the days went by, and Dylan got busier and busier, days became weeks and Ciara became more and more lonely. The feeling of lonesomeness consumed her. Although she had Janet to accompany her most of the time or she would spent time baking cakes together with the children or painting a portrait , the feeling was different without Dylan by her side.

The zombies have indeed placed Dylan in a tight spot, giving me an opportunity to tear Dylan and Ciara apart. I have noticed Janet spending the past few weeks with her and an idea abruptly flooded my mind.
