Back at the castle, Dylan was pacing back and forth in his room, anxiously waiting for his father to give him instructions. After an anxious twenty minutes, Michael strolled back into Dylan's room where Dylan, Tiffany, Vonda and Kelly were. They were still taking turns to watch and monitor the comatose Ciara.

Michael announced that he has given instructions to the three groups of knights to be led by Keith, Jerediah and Luke to put on their armour suits and helmets and get ready their shields and swords. He mentioned that he has heard rumours that an epic battle is about to begin and the rogue leader, Vivian and their troops are ready and has been sported to be lying in ambush just outside of the perimeter that the protective shield does not cover. Dylan, shrieked Michael I want you to be ready to go into battle and leave Ciara in the care of Tiffany. Anyway, the room has been protected by Vonda's spell and only the few of us can enter this room. Vonda, Kelly, I will need the both of you to help us in dealing with Vivian. Definitely Michael, that is what allies do, retorted Vonda.

Dylan hesitantly left the room, while taking a few more glances back at Ciara. My Dear, I promised that I will look after her, uttered Tiffany.

The vampires indulged themselves with several glasses of blood each to elevate their endurance and vigour for the upcoming battle. They sharpen the blades of their swords getting ready for the inevitable blood bath.

Entering the castle was a challenging task for Vonda and my minions but it was an effortless task for me as I work in the castle.

The spell that Vonda cast only keeps outsiders away but anyone who belongs or works in the castle can dematerialized and materialized freely.

That nincompoop King would never anticipate my treachery after serving him for a century. I try to keep the smile off my face but deep in my heart, I couldn't be happier. Tonight shall be the night that changes history forever for the vampire, mythical and human race.

I materialized into the castle and noticed the fussy movements of all the knights and guards which meant that they are prepared and ready to go into battle. I mentally cursed at their impromptu preparation.

Everyone in the castle were busy like bees fussing around , hence nobody really took noticed about me or greeted me since I am just a low ranking servant in the castle. I silently crept to the kitchen, carefully turning back a couple of times to check if anyone is following me, I didn't see where I was going until I bummed into Sonia and Maryanne. What are you doing here in the kitchen? Oh nothing I stammered. I just wanted to get myself a glass of milk since everyone are so busy, I just thought that I will take it myself. You could have called us? I didn't see a need to disturb, my lovely ladies, now run along; the queen might need the assistance from the two of you. The two ladies  blushed a pink hue and ran along.

I crept down the stairs leading to the back door and I carefully took out a bottle of magic potion which Vivian prepared earlier and sprinkled some of it on the back door of the castle.

The second the potion touched the wooden frame of the door, I saw an orange glow dispersed into the air.

Aghhhhh!!! Vonda clenched her chest tight as she felt the burning sensation surging through her entire body. Michael, Dylan and Kelly scurried over to her with concern in their eyes. What happen Vonda? It’s not good, Vivian has managed to break my spell and the rogue vampires are already within the perimeters of this castle. How could that happen? Michael retorted. There is a traitor among us, Michael. The spell can only be broken from the inside, it clearly means someone in this castle is their accomplice or worse their leader. Now is not the time for us to sit down and ponder over who the traitor is, we need to go out and fight this war now.
