Second Chance - Chapter 35

While the sky was still pitch black and the night was still young, Janet crawled out of bed leaving her husband, Caleb fast asleep alone on the bed.

She dressed in a black leather suit with a black mask and silently walked towards Wilfred’s room. Within seconds, the both of them dressed in a similar fashion dematerialized out from the castle together.

They rematerialized inside the woods. They drove out Vivian’s black SUV and headed towards the blood bank. The guards in the blood bank were no match to both Wilfred and Janet. They effortlessly take them down and locked them up in one of the labs while they stole twenty cartons of blood and loaded it back to the car. Each carton consists of a hundred packets of blood. Once they deposited the cartons in Vivian’s house, Janet rematerialized back into the castle. She went back to her room, changed and laid back down in bed with Caleb.

Wilfred however did not return to the castle, instead he materialized outside of Vonda’s house. He immediately felt a sense of magnetic force pushing him away from the house but he used his magic and spell to counterattack the force. Vonda jolted up from bed with tremendous pain in her heart when she felt a force penetrating through her spell. She woke Kelly up and together they knew that the intruder is already inside of their house. Wilfred threw open the door with such a great force that both Vonda and Kelly were thrown backwards. Vonda and Kelly held hands and together conjure a compelling force and unleashed it towards their oncoming threat. Wilfred unleashed his power of fire onto their fireball. Both Vonda and Kelly were astounded as they knew that their intruder is a vampire and the only vampire that can unleashed a fire ball is the king Dylan but this vampire in front of them was mighty and able to unleash the power of a seer and magic which was never heard of. This spells bad news. Wilfred managed to throw Kelly onto the floor and he swooped over to her wanting to kill her and that was when Vonda unleashed and inflicted the power of pain onto Wilfred. Wilfred was thrown backwards onto the floor with a loud thud. He clenched his chest with both his hands and spun around the floor trying to ease the pain. Seeing both Vonda and Kelly stalking over to him, he quickly dematerialized out from their house. Vonda initially wanted to pursue the transgressor but decided to look into her crystal ball for answers.

She saw a black shadowy figure with wings and orange eyes inside her crystal ball. Several images of massive massacre and bloodshed were seen. The castle was attacked by legions of zombies and the kraken. A kraken is rising amongst all these recent attacks.

I need to inform Dylan soon, cried Vonda. This piece of news was unspeakably alarming. The kraken is out to kill the king and take over the throne. More innocent lives will be lost in this battle.  The crystal ball also showed the rising of a hybrid, a mythical creature that is created out of two races. This hybrid together with Dylan can help save his kingdom and his family. However, Vonda could not fathom how they are going to find or locate this hybrid. Who is this hybrid that the crystal ball is talking about?

Early next morning, Dylan received phone calls from the professors in the blood bank saying that there was a break in last night and two thousand packets of blood were stolen, leaving them in a dire situation of tremendous shortage of blood. Dylan sighed and yelled out in frustration, this is seriously not happening. Today is Ciara’s birthday and I am intending to spend the entire day with her not to fret over my unceasing work.  Dylan quickly sent a mind link to Keith and Caleb to meet him in his study. Dylan wrote a note and left it on the bed side table for Ciara.
