Second Chance - Chapter 36

The moment the lights went out, I ceased the opportunity to dematerialize out from the castle with Ciara in my arms. Knowing that all vampires movement are swift and peripheral vision are still as sharp as an owl in the dark, they will only need one second to register the darkness and they will noticed me still there with Ciara as hostage.

It didn’t take long for them to dematerialize after my pursuit. I have rematerialized inside of Vivian’s house with Ciara. I brought her to a room and locked her up with chains. No, not again, please let me go, Wilfred.     I was chained here before by Vivian, please just let me go. I quickly put up a magic shield around Vivian’s house just in time to stop Dylan, Vonda, Keith, Kelly and Caleb from entering. Vonda and Kelly tried to use their magic to break the shied, but it was impossible to break in, causing them both to fall backwards to the floor and hit the tree with such an impact. It’s no use, the spell is too impregnable. I won’t give up, yelled Dylan at the top of his lungs. Ciara, do you hear me, I will try my best to think of a solution fast, infiltrate this house and save you from out of there. Dylan, please come soon and be safe, Wilfred is out of his mind he seems to be planning for a wedding between me and him soon. Noooo, Ciara is mine, Wilfred, you nincompoop vamp, do not mess with the king; you do not know who you are dealing with. Suddenly, a maleficent laughter filled the air, oh is it true Dylan, or should I call you King Dylan, I should be the one warning you not to mess around with me, you are now dealing with an indestructible vampire like me, I have the immortality, vision and swiftness of a vampire and the magic, power and spells of a seer, so when are you debile vampires and seers out there going to come in and get me to save your little precious Ciara?

Dylan sent a mind link to Ciara to be strong and wait for him to return.

Before the group could turn away, Wilfred squealed, oh yes, my wedding with Ciara will be in two days’ time and all of you are invited to come, especially Dylan.

A mixture of emotions of wrath and lugubriousness rained on the group as they dematerialized from the woods and rematerialized in the castle in the depths of their despair.

Dylan was losing control of his emotions as his pupils and iris dilated and expanded and changed to the soulless pitch black , he could feel his fangs elongating , hence he brought his hands up to his mouth to shield it from the group, embarrassed that he couldn’t handle his emotions when the subject involves his beloved Ciara.

It’s alright, my Lord, you do not need to feel embarrassed, we could fathom how devastated you must feel right now, acknowledged Vonda.

Thank you for your understanding, Vonda. Is there anything or spell that you can conjure for us to infiltrate Vivian’s house. Suddenly, realization dawned upon Dylan, guys, did you noticed that all the events that have been taking place lately revolve around Vivian, first it was the zombies lodging at her house, next it was her car that we saw in the video that got away with two thousand packets of blood, Wilfred being a normal vampire now has become omnipotent with magic and now he is hiding in Vivian’s house with Ciara.

Since Wilfred is planning on a wedding with Ciara, then I am rather sure that he will not hurt her or allow the zombies to hurt her until then and we must be able to penetrate and break the spell, save Ciara out from there before the wedding. After concluding Wilfred’s intention, Dylan was able to heave a sigh of relief knowing that his beloved Ciara is temporary safe.

All this while, Both Vonda and Kelly were trying to puzzle up all the findings and Victor’s death. A thought flooded through Vonda’s head, she clears her throat and announced to the group. What if all this while, Victor had something on him from Vivian, maybe a spell of something that was given to Wilfred that gave him his sudden emergence of power. Knowing the close relation that Victor has with Vivian, they probably are lovers which we are not aware of, hence Victor might also have some form of magic potion or spell or any ornament in his mansion that could be given by Vivian and who knows it could help us break the spell on Vivian’s house. You are brilliant, Vonda, Dylan took her hand into his and placed a light kiss on her hand, thanking her for her idea.
