Keith has arrived at Dylan's house and he felt a change of emotions in his best friend. He read from his mind that he has found his soul mate but she is a human.
Dylan was deep in thoughts that he only noticed that Keith has materialized in his room a couple of seconds later.
" I have found my mate and she is on the verge of dying". Keith could feel the depression setting in from Dylan's eyes. I need to establish my relationship with her fast and to consumate the bond otherwise she will die.
Keith shifted uncomfortably in his seat, cracking his mind to see how he could bring up a piece of disconcerting news when his friend is already dispirited.
Sensing that Keith has something of importance to announce, Dylan broke his train of thoughts and ask " what is it that you wanted to inform me about"? There was a moment of silence before Keith whispered, barely audible but is loud enough for a vampire's exceptional hearing ability to pick up the words.
" I have heard rumours of rogue vampires gathering their armies to overthrow your parent's empire and to mercilessly slain the human race and the rest of the mythical species to dominate the universe".
Dylan was appalled upon hearing this unpleasant news. " My parents have established and maintained a good relationship with other mythical creatures and the human race". They have always had a secret deal when he spend millions investing in purchasing blood from the blood bank run by the humans to sell it to the vampires' race. Dylan's father , Michael was against any vampires from drinking blood from the source ( sucking the humans) and insisted that they should pay for their substinence like any other living beings and not be an abomination to make humans their prey. For that matter, he was respected and well liked by the human race , other mythical species and the vampire race. However, there were always some black sheeps around who cannot fathom why they should purchase blood instead of attacking the humans.
Dylan paused for a couple of seconds and with his downcast eyes told Keith I need to have a word with my parents and arranged for a meeting with the rest of the mythical creatures who are our alies to orchestra a plan soon.
