"Is that all you need?" Alberto asks as he lights yet another cigar.

I stand up, shaking his hand. "Yes. Thank you Al, I really appreciate it." I tell him and he waves his hand at me, his smoke blowing into my face.

"Son, we've known each other for a long time now, you are apart of my family. Whatever I can do for you, I'm more than happy to." He replies and I nod at him. "Now go and see that girl of your's, I'm sure she misses you." I chuckle and he offers a small smile before I pick up his keys and walk towards the door. "Don't be a stranger, Fuse." He winks and I roll my eyes before leaving his office.

"Got everything you wanted?" Asher asks as I approach the car.

"Yeah." I simply reply and he nods before opening the door and getting in. I pull out of Alberto's estate and turn on the windscreen wipers to get rid of the rain that's started to fall.

"You know Drake keeps asking for you back at the Shell." He says and I keep my eyes focused on the road, not looking at him.

"Drake knows the situation. How many times does he have to be reminded?" I say and Asher shrugs his shoulders as he lights up a cigarette. I reach over and take it off of him. "No smoking in my car Ash, you know the deal."

He rolls his eyes, scoffing as he snatches it back and puts it behind his ear. "Sorry boss," he mumbles sarcastically. "Me and Harlow are going to pick up Spencer's gift tomorrow." He says, changing the topic.

I nod, "okay well you can come around at like five or something and bring it with you before everyone else gets there."

"Do you think she will like it?" He asks "Harlow said she would, she said she's always wanted one."

I eventually pull up at my apartment and turn the car off. "As long as she doesn't buy some stupid accessories, it will be fine." I tell him and he gives me a pointed look. "What?" He opens the door and gets out, avoiding my question. "Asher I swear if she's got some stupid fucking ribbon for it I'll throw it in the trash." He laughs, walking away from me as he presses the button for the elevator. Dick.

Spencer kept insisting that she didn't want to celebrate her birthday but we all knew that wasn't going to happen. I invited her parents back over and her mom asked if she could bring her husband too. Her aunt and uncle, and two cousins who her mom said she's close to are also coming so I can't wait to see her face when she sees them.

Harlow and Asher will obviously be there and when I told my mom, she asked if she could come too. Kennedy and my brother and his family are coming but I limited it at that. I don't want it to be too overwhelming for her. She's been through so much and a small party is the least the deserves. Being around her family might be good for her too.

When I walk inside I see Rykard looking at me, looking tense "What's wrong?" I ask and he furrows his eyebrows.

"Nothing, this is just my face." He replies and I roll my eyes at him, walking through to the kitchen.

Jane is sat working on the list for everything we need tomorrow. "How's it going?" I ask.

"There a few other things I could add but it will cost you more."

I nod, "whatever it is, add it to the list. Don't worry about the money — if you think she'll like it then just write it down." I tell her and she nods, focusing back on the piece of paper.

"Jesus, when did you become a sugar daddy?" Asher mocks and I glare over at him.

"Fuck off." I mumble and he laughs, holding his hands up. I open the refrigerator and take out some orange juice. "Do you want anything?" I ask him and he shakes his head.
