K A N E W A L K E R

My body wakes to the calm, soothing melody of a song I haven't heard before. I shift my body slightly but stop when I sense that the bed is empty. My eyes snap themselves open and for some reason, panic fills me as I scan the room for Spencer.

I glance over to the doors leading out to our private beach and see waves of brown hair blowing in the breeze. Letting out a relieved sigh I get up and walk outside, the thick warm sand automatically moulding to my feet.

The music continues playing and I glance over to see it coming from a speaker that's sat on a small table on the decking.

"If life is a movie, oh you're the best part.."

A female voice continues filling the speaker while I approach Spencer as she lays on a sun lounger, a sketch pad in her hands. She looks up at me as I take a seat on the chair next to her and smiles brightly just as I catch some more lyrics.

"It's the sunrise,
And those brown eyes, yes
You're the one that I desire.."

Her eyes keep themselves completely fixed on me as the song continues.

"When we wake up
And then we make love,
It makes me feel so nice"

She smiles, blushing a little as she pulls her bottom lip between her teeth.

"You're my water when I'm stuck in the desert,
You're the Tylenol I take when my head hurts..
You're the sunshine on my life.."

I carefully watch her as she gazes at me, like her eyes are trying to tell me something. Almost like this song she's listening to reminds her of.. me.

"I just wanna see how beautiful you are..
You know that I see it
I know you're a star,
Where you go I follow
No matter how far..
If life is a movie
Then you're the best part.."

The song continues playing and she puts her sketch pad and pencil down on her sun lounger before standing up and stepping across the sand to me. I look up at her with a small smirk as she moves her legs apart and sits on my lap, resting her arms around my neck.

"Was that you trying to tell me something?" I ask her and she shrugs her shoulders innocently.

"I don't know, was it?" She grins and I lift my hand, pulling her hair back from her face as it blows in the light breeze.

I watch her in awe. She's like the most priceless work of art in the whole world, no, universe.

My feelings for her have just taken over me completely. I've never felt this strongly towards anyone ever. I've always found commitment difficult, always doubted myself and wondered if I'm capable of giving another the love and affection they deserve.

Until her.

Truthfully I think it's always been her. I'm not a soppy person but I do believe that things happen for a reason. I met Spencer for a reason and I thank my lucky stars every single day that I did.

"Why did you choose Fuse?" She asks, out of the blue and I focus back on her.

"I don't know really, I guess Bullet was already taken." I reply with an amused grin and she chuckles, her fingers gently tracing the back of my neck. I glance over at the pool and then back to her. "Sea or pool?" I ask and she purses her lips as though she's really thinking hard about it.
