I ran past Eren in the hallway and hid behind a shed. I cried until I heard footsteps and looked up to see Levi. I was about to leave until he grabbed my hand. I shrug him off in a jiffy and then slipped on some moss. I grabbed his collar by reflex and dragged him down with me.

Ouch.

I opened my eyes as I felt my senses coming back.

....!

.

.

.

Oh....soft.

I felt his lips on mine. I felt like my heart was about to burst as I laid there frozen in time.

My first kiss.

Why?

I knew that I couldn't deny it. That I was falling for him again.

I closed my eyes tightly, a tear slipping out. I felt his hand wipe away my tear and I looked at him.

"Listen to me." His steel grey eyes stared into my (e/c) ones. He wanted my full attention and I gave it to him. It wasn't so hard when your entire field of vision is him.

"I neve-"

"(Y/n)!" Eren shouted.

I turned to see him there panting and his hair a little messy from running. He saw my face and mustered his strength and courage to push Levi off of me.

"E-Eren?" I said as he grabbed my hand and took me away.

He didn't say a word.

"It's okay!" He says just as I was about to open my mouth. I opened my mouth again but he interrupted me again. "I don't know what's going on, but it's okay!"

I know that you have good intentions, but...goddammit Eren. Let me speak!

"Right?!" He suddenly stopped and his green eyes look at my (e/c) ones intensely.

"Y-Yes..."

"I'll protect you." He then said.

Wait, what did I just agree to?!

"Eren!" Hange came over. "Uh..." Seeing Eren and me, she giggled. "What do we have here? Heheh."

"Ms. Hange!" Eren blushes. "A-Anyway, you called me?"

"Oh yes, but if you're busy-"

"I'm not busy at all!"

"Oh, alright you~" Hange smiles. "I came up with a new titan experiment! Come with me!"

"N-Nevermind, I'm bus-AH!"

I stared as Eren was dragged along. I chuckled at them. Hange sure is a weird one.

As I walked along the outside hallway, I caught a glance of a man outside holding the Wings of Freedom symbol. The cuts and tears on it was familiar. The man then caught me staring.

"You need something?" He asked.

"Oh, no." I said. "Um, that badge..."

"It's Ivan's." He smiles. "Captain Levi retrieved it for me during the expedition after we threw the bodies out."

As I take a closer look at it, I realized that it had to be Petra's. I recalled seeing him knelt down to his dead squad before when all the dead bodies are gathered. I had caught a glimpse of Petra before she was wrapped up.

'I was wrong.' I realized. 'I misunderstood him.'
