4. Strong

I quickly put on my 3DMG to began the new practicing session.

I enjoyed these practice sessions. Partly because I get to spend time with Levi and partly because flying using the gear felt amazing.

"Try to balance your weight in the center." He instructs.

"Okay." I said.

As my weight stayed steadily in the center for a millisecond, my body suddenly started to sprang forward. I braved myself from hitting the ground, but instead, my head touched something warm.

"L-Levi?!" I was a bit taken aback.

"Tch." He said. "Be careful. I can't always catch you."

"Hahah. I can handle myself!"

"Who is the one always rescuing you from old men?"

"Oh, hahah."

"Come on! No slacking off now."

I wasn't very good with the 3DMG and Levi had to hold my waist, keeping me in balance. Each time he did so, I kept laughing because my sides were ticklish.

"Ahahah! Stop it!" I laughed with tears in my eyes. "Hahahahahaha! Oh god, seriously, hahah...hah..s-stop!"

However he ignored me and kept his hands on my waist. Moving ever so slightly, each hitting the right spots.

Could he possibly be enjoying this?

I couldn't tell. His face was as stoic as ever. Hell, it was like a doll even.

"I'm not falling!" I said when I finally succeeded. "Oh? OH!" I suddenly sprang forward again. My arms went out in a reflux and one of them punched Levi on the cheek. "Ah, sorry." I said meekly with a smile.

"Whatever." He simply said and turned me upright.

As I start to lose confidence, Levi suddenly spoke up. "You're getting better."

I smiled slightly. "Am I?"

My little twelve years old self was so innocently developing a feeling inside. It grows as each day passes by. Along with other feelings, surprise, peace and happiness, they were all there. It was like a dream. I must be living in a dream.

I opened my eyes slowly, adjusting to the light.

Why did I dream about that?

"Mikasa?" I said, seeing her back.

She turned to me. "(Y/n), you're awake."

Lily was also there. She tackled me with a hug.

"Ow." I cried out.

"Sorry, (y/n)." She said, crying. "I'm glad you're okay!"

"Same for you!" I said gladly.

I then looked at my surrounding. I was inside a building. I then recognized it as the storage unit. Suddenly a loud noise from outside hurt my ears and I saw a titan from out the window fighting other titans.

"What the hell's going on?!" I asked.

"I'm not sure." Armin said. "But I think that's an aberrant titan that's only interested in other titans."

"What?" I gasped. "That's crazy!"

"Yeah." Jean said. "I can't believe it myself."

"But we know that we're saved because of that titan." Armin said. "We could've all died otherwise."

I stared at the titan from outside.

Could this be a new discovery? There's hope for mankind! We're finally winning!

Armin and the rest then walked deeper into the building in order to kill the smaller titans wandering around inside the building. I stayed due to my injured right arm.

Some people from under the desks came out, startling me.

"Sorry about that." A woman apologized.

"We weren't able to do anything." A guy said by the window.

"Well, gotta stay alive." I commented.
