29: Gelda's death

Zeldris POV in the past
I was in the garage using the gym equipment when my little brother ran into the room. He was frantic and seemed like he had seen a ghost. I looked at him wondering what the fuck was going on. My father wasn't home at the moment so it couldn't have been him. Maybe Meliodas finally came home?

"Estarossa what's going on?"

"It's Gelda! Hurry look at the news!" My eyes widened and I ran into the living room where the tv was on. The local news was running and there were images of a extreme fiery crash. My eyes started to water and I felt my stomach drop.

"No this can't be real right? What if it's just someone with the same car?!" I said trying to deny that maybe she was safe.

"They said it was a 16 year old girl." Esta said. I grabbed my phone and dialed her number waiting and waiting no answer. I dialed again and no answer. Fuck!

"No no no no!" I didn't have a car. Meliodas's had a car but he's not fucking here. I grabbed my helmet and put on a sweatshirt.

"Where are you doing?"

"I'm going to the crash sight I need to know if she's alive. I don't know what I'm gonna do if I lose her Esta. Stay here and don't answer to door to anyone I'll be back." I rode my bike all the way to the reported area. It was far away from where she lived.

Like 14 miles at least. I was tired and thirsty but it didn't matter. By the time I got there the reporters were gone and there was caution tape all around the sight. My heart was beating like 100 miles per hour. The front of the car was smashed to bits. It didn't even look like a car anymore. It hit a telephone pole and almost knocked it down. There was blood all over the windshield.

"Hey! Where's the person that was in there!" I yelled at the some people who were taking pictures of the car. They were definitely crime scene investigators.

"Kid you need to leave the sight. You shouldn't be looking at this." One of them said. I felt tears start to flow like crazy and my heart felt like it was being ripped apart.

"Please! I need to know." Out of no where my phone started ringing it was Geldas mom. I answered frantically and she sounding like she had been sobbing.

"Zeldris, honey I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry." I threw my helmet and grabbed my hair anger and rage started to flow.

"Please come over to our house. I'd like for you to be with our family." She said. I sniffed back my tears and hopped on my bike.

"I'll be there soon." It took me about 45 mins to bike to her house. I was so tired and my stomach was growling. When I got there I threw my bike on the lawn and walked up to the front step.

Next thing I knew the door flew open and arms were being rapped around my body. It was her mother. She was crying into my shoulder and rubbing my back. I was just so shocked and to be honest this day didn't even feel real. My arms held her hard.

"Please come inside." She pulled me in and I looked around to see a man I had never met. She told me her parents were divorced.

"This is Gelda's father Zayn and this is Zeldris Gelda's boyfriend." She introduced us. I looked up at the man that had to be at least 6'1 200pounds.

"I-I'm sorry I just don't know what to think right now. I don't feel right." I said looking back at her mother.

"Gelda was dead in the car. She didn't even have a chance to go to the hospital." She started crying again and my eyes widened.

"I brought you here because I think of you as my own son. She loved you so much and when she found you I knew I was gonna have some beautiful grandchildren. I was so happy for her."

This is to much....I

I fainted.

When I woke up the first think I thought about was my brother. I sat up quick and gasped.

"Hey hey it's okay. I'm here. You sleep all the way through till the next day." I looked to see Paula, Gelda's mother.

"No I need to get home. I left my little brother there all alone he's only 11." I said freaking out. At this point it hadn't really registered that my girlfriend was dead.

"Can I go get him and come back to hang out with Gelda?" I said. She looked at my with sad eyes.

"Honey I know. I know it's hard. I don't understand either but she's gone." Wait what? Gone? I just saw her like 3 days ago. I took her to the movies and we ate dinner together, what do you mean gone???

"What? I don't understand I just wanna hang with her? Is she not here right now?"

"Zeldris she's passed on son. She's dead."

I lost my mother, my father, my brother, and now my first girlfriend. The woman I lost my virginity to. The woman I thought I was gonna marry. I loved her so much and never felt more happy. At this point, life's not even worth living.

Elizabeth POV past
"I can't believe cousin Gelda really...died." Said my sister Margret. It was shocking like really shocking. She never drank so I doubt it was drunk driving. It's to early to know what happened but I have a bad feeling it wasn't good. A car crash like that? The car was completely mangled.

"I know this is too soon but I don't think this was an accident. I mean she's a good kid, maybe she was being threatened..." I exclaimed holding my body. It was just me and my two sisters sitting in my room. Our father was downstairs on the phone talking to his sister.

"Ellie there is no way to tell that. Just because she's a good kid doesn't mean maybe she got shit faced and drove off." Said Veronica.

"In the middle of the day though?"

"I don't know...but this is crazy! Like I feel so bad for auntie Paula. I also feel guilty that we haven't hung out with her in a while and now she's gone."

"We couldn't have known though." I responded to Veronica.

We lived about hour away from where Gelda lived so we never went to the same school. We would really only see her at family dinners, cookouts, birthday parties and so on. Ever since our mother died Paula has really been there for my dad. But now we have to be there for her. I can't believe I lost another person to my family.

Finally! We get to see a little bit of Elizabeth's back story. I hope you guys liked this chapter.
