Arshi Sharma

"Arshi, Get up. It is already 8:30 AM. Do you plan to skip college again?" screamed Arshi's mother from the kitchen while preparing the breakfast. Arshi replied casually, "Ma, please don't scream. I am leaving the bed and don't you worry, I am not going to miss college today." 

Arshi Sharma was a 25 year old bubbly girl and an amazing singer. She had done her M.A. (Master In Arts) and was pursuing MBA.

Today was the first time that Arshi was actually interested in attending college since the past three years. This excitement was not because of any class but because of the concert to be held in the college in the evening. The concert was of her favourite music Composers of Bollywood, Akshat and  Amit. She had been their fans since the release of the first album, Tasveer.  

Arshi got up, showered, had breakfast and left for college. Arshi was herself an aspiring singer . Her goal in life was to become a singer and music composer. She never missed any chance of proving herself as a good singer. Today,  she had got a chance to be the lead vocalist in the band that was to welcome the celebrity music composers on stage. She was also given a chance to choose the songs they were to sing. She being a big fan of Akshat and Amit chose the songs very carefully to impress the singers. She considered them as her idols and always wished to perform with their band.

The classes started and she absent-mindedly attended them. She was busy thinking of the concert that was awaiting her in the evening. She attended all the classes pre-lunch break after which she went to the vocal room to rehearse the performance they were to put up on stage in front of the crowd and also her Idols.

The awaited evening arrived and she changed into her costumes to go on stage for their performance. Her performance went just fine and and she along with the school band had put up a great show. After her performance, as she got down the stage, she was really excited to hear her idols live. 

The concert was amazing and she along with her friends danced to all the popular songs that they played. The concert ended at 9:00 PM and she had enjoyed every second of it. 

After the concert ended and she was on her way to the exit, she was stopped by Tanisha, her friend and also apart of the organing committee of the concert night. "Arshi, would you like to meet Akshat Amit and the entire band. They are still in the green room and many people are going to meet them. Moreover, they appreciated the school band for their performance and you being the lead vocalist ought to meet them." informed Tanisha. This was a golden opportunity for her to meet her idols and also get a chance to impress them too. Arshi agreed immediately and went along with Tanisha to the green room. 

As soon as she reached the green room, she was overwhelmed to get a chance to meet the band and singers whom she had always wished to work with in the future. She met the band members like Darshan Joshi (the drummer), Aditya Menezes (the Keyboardist), Rahul Ved and Vashishth Mehta (the supporting singers). She took pictures with everyone and also took their autographs. They were very kind to appreciate her singing skills and conversed with her too.
She went inside the main dressing room where Akshat and Amit were sitting and around them were a few people who had also come to meet them. Finally she got a chance to meet the duo.
She greeted them warmly and said,  "I am a big fan of you both, sir. You make great music and the concert tonight was wonderful. I am Arshi and I am the lead vocalist of the school band. It is wonderful meeting you both. The entire band has inspired me and millions of other budding musicians around the globe. It has always been my dream to get a chance to sing with your band." 

Akshat sir replied, "You have a wonderful voice and we were very impressed by the performance put up by the band. I hope you continue to love music and learn singing. I hope you make it big in life. Best of luck.
She was overwhelmed with their kindness. She took some pictures with them and took her autographs too.
It was indeed a memorable evening for her.
She reached home at about 11:00 pm to find her mother waiting for her and informed her what had happened. Her mother was very happy for her.
She went to her room and cautiously put all the autographs inside her drawer safely.  She changed her clothes, showered and retired to the bed. She lay on the bed thinking of the wonderful evening that she had been a part of.
She was sure of missing the college the next day. She had planned to binge watch some web series and practice music for her upcoming auditions.
