Surprise

They were the first to reach the studio and were joined by Radhika who reached a couple of minutes later. Radhika was happy to see them together in the studio. Arshi and Radhika had spoken that morning itself and they continued with their chats with the only difference being Rahul's addition in the conversation. Radhika questioned Rahul,"I have heard her side of the story. Now its your turn to spill the beans. So how did 'THE RAHUL VED' fall in love?" She asked making air quotation marks. Rahul had the grace to blush and that made Arshi fall in love with him all over again.

He answered,"I couldn't help but fall in love with her. She is the one who could understand the pain in my eyes, the hidden story behind my silence and the wish in my brain. She is just so perfect. The best part is that she is always there no matter what so ever. She has my heart, my soul and me. She is the one. I think I had a lucky star that granted my wish of a true love and destined our meeting. The more I get to know her, the more perfect she seems. She is my pillar of strength when the world abandons me. She is the most perfect part of my imperfect life. She is the one who completes and compliments me. She is the silver lining of my life that makes everything worth it in life. She brings out the best in me.  She is the one I love with all my heart, body and soul." 

Arshi was in tears listening to him and could not control herself and tightly hugged Rahul. This philosophical side of Rahul was completely new to Arshi as well as Radhika. Radhika spoke with the most genuine smile,"So happy to see you both madly in love with each other. You are destined for each other. Similar people, similar profession, similar passion, what else is needed. You both are lucky to have found each other. I have never seen Rahul like this, so emotional and so philosophical. It suits you dear. You both have become better after having found each other. " They both smiled looking art each other. 

Akshat sir arrived as soon as they were done talking. He had a good news to share. They had bagged a new film project. All of them were excited. Radhika had left as soon as Akshat sir reached as she had some work. He contined," I just had a talk with the director and the lyricist and the lyrics are already written. Just the music part is left and then we need to find a suitable singer for the song. Rahul asked curiously,"What is the song about? What is its genre and its type?" " I had a discussion with everyone in the music and story team and the song is supposed to be a love story and this song is to be sung from the point of view of the female protagonist. It is a romantic song and is of a low scale. There are a few male parts though but its a female dominated song. The lyrics are beautiful." Akshat sir said and handed over the notebook with the lyrics. They read it together, Yaara badi dil dariya hai yeh chahatein. Zindagi ka ek zariya hai yeh chaahatein.Likhi huyi ek dhundli si tasveer pe. Badla sa nazariya hai yeh chahatein. Bundoon mein nadiyan hai. Lamhon mein sadiyan hai. {Translation- This love is very benevolent,my love. This is a lifestyle, written on a fading picture of life. It is a changed perspective of the world. It seems as if there are rivers flowing in just a few droplets. I feel like I am living centuries in a few moments with you.

They both loved the lyrics. Akshat sir, Rahul and Arshi sat and worked on the various scales. They were all busy with the music. Finally after two hours, they finalised the scale and tried singing it too. Now the remaining task was to get an appropriate singer for the song.

Arshi suggested Tanvi Khanna's name but she was already booked for the next few weeks and they needed at least that one particular song in just a week.After number of suggestions and a few more hours spent on the music,they were unable to come to any conclusion. Akshat sir suggested,"Listen, How about you sing it, Arshi? I think you will be a great voice for the protagonist and you will do justice to the song." Rahul agreed with him,"Yes sir. Arshi will be a great choice for the song." Arshi was more than happy to agree with them. Arshi stammered in excitement,"Sure, Sir. It will be my pleasure to sing the song." Akshat sir said" That will be great. We can have Rahul as the lead male voice if he is free. Congratulations, Arshi for your first official song in Bollywood as a singer." and gave a half hug to her and continued" Rahul, Will you be in for this?" Rahul agreed immediately. He was excited to be singing with Arshi for an official recording. Arshi was lucky that she would sing her first song along with Rahul Ved,the person she loved with all her heart. 

Akshat sir asked them to go for a voice testing in the studio and they agreed. After the testing was done, Akshat sir was convinced of finalising them in the song. They sounded perfect together. Their voices gelled like cookie and crem. Akshat sir confirmed," Great job. You both sound so great together. Truly amazing. We can record the instruments within the next couple of days and then we can record you voices probably at the end of this week. It was already 5 PM and was their chai time(Tea time). They enjoyed their tea and chatted along about their tours that were scheduled from next month onwards and how they will not get to work enough at the studio. 

After the Chai time, they created the pseudo song and sent it to the team of instrumentalists. The got the confirmation within no time. It was finalised  that they would be recording the Drums, Guitar and the Keys the next morning and evening respectively. 

They all left the studio together at 7:30 PM. Akshat sir headed home while Arshi and Rahul headed together to Arshi's place. It had become like a routine that after the studio session, Rahul and Arshi would have coffee together at Arshi's place after which Rahul left. Sometimes he also stayed back for dinner. They enjoyed their moments together. As Rahul drove Arshi shared her excitement and nervousness with Rahul," I am so lucky to have bagged this song. I am so excited for it. I hope I will be able to do justice to the song. The best part is my first recording is with you. I feel like I am the luckiest in the world to have got so much yet I feel nervous if I will actually be able to give my best to it. Rahul calmed her down with a kiss on her forehead and explained,"You have earned the position that you have reached today. It is your talent that has brought you so far. Don't get so worried. Just go with the flow. I know you will give your best. Let the rest happen on its own. Everything will go fine."

They reached Arshi's place. Arshi freshened up and changed while Rahul waited for her on the dining table. After she had changed to her shorts and headed to the kitchen to make some coffee while Rahul headed to the washroom to freshen up. 

They sat together with their coffee in the balcony and chatted about life. Something that they had never done earlier. They enjoyed each others' company. They never faced awkward silences and odd looks. They always found the others' presence comforting and intimate. 

Rahul left after coffee. Arshi sat on her bed and gave a call to her mom to inform about the new song that she had backed. Her parents were very proud and gave her all the blessings and good luck. As soon as she hung up, she got a message from Rahul that read,"Reached. Tomorrow at 11:30 AM for studio session. Will pick you up by 11 AM. Love you." Arshi replied,"If you are free in the morning, you can come over a bit earlier for breakfast." Rahul replied in the affirmative. 

Arshi was eagerly waiting for the next morning. She headed to the kitchen to grab dinner that was made by the cook. She ate her fill and went off to sleep. 

On the other hand, Rahul had his dinner and lay awake on the bed thinking of Arshi.
