Love and Music

Situation?

Arshi passed out in her room due to dehydration that caused dizziness. She had not had any food that day that made the situation worse. She gained her consciousness at 7:00 AM the next morning. When she got up, her head was feeling heavy, and she could not even walk straight. She was lying in her bedroom. With a lot of pain, she went to the washroom to wash her face and freshen up. She came out of the toilet, feeling slightly better. She switched on her phone to find twenty-one missed calls from Radhika, three from Mom and seventy-eight from Rahul. She had blocked his number but then couldn't resist unblocking it. Seeing Rahul's name flash on the screen, it was enough to make Arshi feel guilty and broken from within. She did not know what to do. She sat beside the window in her room with a mug of coffee. She remembered the day when Rahul and Arshi chilled on the bed, and when Rahul was unwell. She started to weep again.

Rahul sat in his music room and wept. He could not even imagine Arshi betraying him for any reason. He called her up over 78 times, but his calls were unanswered. He was in pain. He went to get a mug of coffee for himself. He added a spoon of jaggery, and that reminded him of Arshi again. He was taken aback listening to Arshi getting married to some random person, Ishaan. It was nearly impossible for her to do anything like that. Rahul had faith in his love but still questioned for some reason. In the morning, Radhika called up Rahul. Rahul picked it up immediately even when he was in tears. Radhika hearing Rahul's voice could easily decipher that he was crying.

Rahul spoke first, "Radhika, I don't understand, why Arshi is doing this, and what is she doing? I can't find a single thing that could have caused something like this. I agree we were not talking frequently as before as her parents were here and she also promised that she wanted to introduce me to her parents but that never happened.  I wish I would have met them but before that only Arshi is getting married to that guy. I am trying to call her, but she hasn't picked up." Radhika calmed him down and said, "I am sure there is some issue. She would never do anything that will hurt you, and you are aware of it. I also called her up, but she did not pick up too. I am sure there is some misunderstanding. She always loved you immensely, and there is no way that she will leave you without reason big enough. I shall call her again and if she answers I shall inform you. Hold on to yourself. Stay strong. Don't worry; all will be well." Radhika hung up and called Arshi.

Arshi rejected the call. She sat beside the window and called Radhika after some time. Radhika pounced in Arshi, "Arshi, you are getting married. That too to someone except Rahul is not going well. Are you insane? You loved him, and I outrightly refuse to believe that you never loved him. Are you marrying Ishaan because of any compulsion? I know he is prosperous, but that will never be a reason for you to marry someone, especially when you are head over heels in love with Rahul. Tell me what has happened. Is everything fine? "

Arshi disconnected the call as she suddenly broke down. She calmed down and washed her face and called Radhika to talk to her. She replied as she had not to inform the world that she is forcefully getting married, "I like Ishaan, and he is so much better than Rahul. You can't even compare Rahul and Ishaan. Ishaan is very wealthy to ensure a safer and better future as compared to Rahul That is the only reason I am marrying Ishaan. Is that enough for now?" She was crying slowly inaudible to Radhika. Radhika simply disconnected the call. She was numb with the way Arshi behaved. 

Rahul called up Radhika. Radhika was unaware of what to tell him. Rahul questioned, " Did you speak to Arshi?" There was a silence from Radhika's end.
