After five days

Arshi's parents had come over after knowing that she had called off the wedding. They arrived at 11:00 AM. Arshi had gone to the airport to pick them up. She had planned that she would introduce them to Rahul as soon as possible. Arshi, in the car, spoke, "Mom Dad, I need to say something to you both. You know Rahul and that we both like each other. " Mom interrupted, "I know, and I have informed your father too. We want to meet him once. We know that he is talented and you both work together. But there are somethings that we as parents need to judge too. So it will be great if we could meet him once." Arshi smiled and said, "Sure mom. We have some work in the studio today evening and a concert tomorrow in Mumbai itself. So the day after tomorrow might suit him. I shall ask him. Thank you, mom. She smiled as she drove the car.

They reached at 11:40 AM. Arshi, Mom and Dad went to their respective rooms. Mom and Dad freshened up and took a nap for a couple of hours. Meanwhile, Arshi called up Rahul. Arshi warmly greeted, "Good Morning, Rahul! How are you doing?" Rahul answered, still sleepy, "Good Morning!" Arshi asked, "Not up yet?" Rahul answered, "No, I just slept at 6:00 AM." Arshi asked, "Why? Are you okay?" Rahul answered, "Yes, I am. I was working with Manish for the new song. You had gone off to sleep and wasn't online, so I didn't disturb you." Arshi said, "Should I call you later? I had something important to fill you in" Rahul answered hurriedly, "No. Not needed. Go ahead." Arshi said, "I shall call you in 10 minutes. You can freshen up and get some coffee too. Even I need coffee. So it will be a better idea. " Rahul obliged silently.

After 10 Minutes, they were back together over a video call and some coffee too. Rahul asked, "What was that you wanted to tell me?" Arshi answered, "I spoke to Mom and Dad about us. They want to meet you. Is that fine with you?" Rahul said excitedly, "Yes, of course. It is wonderful. We have a concert tomorrow and studio session today, so is the day after tomorrow fine?" Arshi laughed. That is what I have told mom, but I wanted to get it confirmed from you. They both laughed, giggled, talked and enjoyed for the next two hours, till Ma called Rahul and they both realised that it is already very late, close to 2:30 PM.  They had to go to the studio at 5:00 PM. Arshi decided to pick up Rahul on her way to the studio, and Rahul agreed.

They had lunch at 2:45 PM and then spent their time with the music. Rahul was busy with Divyansh working in his home studio while Arshi was practising the lyrics for the set that was scheduled the next day. 

Arshi left home at 4:10 PM with two mugs of coffee to Rahul's place. She picked up Rahul, and they both left for the studio. No one else was supposed to come. They both were working on the recording of Aryan Mallik for an upcoming track. They were also to work as the additional music producer with Akshat Amit for a film's background score. 

The work in the studio was over by 8:30 PM. Arshi dropped Rahul in his place and then went ahead to her home. She informed their parents that Rahul was okay with the day after tomorrow in the evening. She was excited as Rahul was. Rahul had a bit of nervousness, but that was normal and justified. 

Next Day

The next day started as a normal one. Rahul and Arshi had coffee and chatted over a video call. They had a concert in Taj Hotel, Mumbai at 7:00 PM. They had to reach the location by 5:00 PM for the soundcheck, costumes and lighting set up. Rahul came to pick up Arshi at 4:15 PM, then they picked up Radhika and left for the venue of the concert. The concert was a typical boring corporate concert and had a not very interested audience, but they still enjoyed performing there too. 

As soon as the concert was over, Rahul, Arshi and Radhika left together. After dropping Radhika, Rahul shared his nervousness with Arshi about meeting her parents and how he hoped that they would like and accept him. Arshi was quite sure about it. Arshi asked about Ma and Baba. Arshi hadn't met Baba adequately, but he was aware that she and Rahul were together. Baba was as sweet and receptive as Ma was. Ma and Arshi were very fond of each other. Arshi promised to visit Ma soon. Rahul couldn't wait for the meeting the next day.
