Given A Choice

Dead , Darkness , Goddess

I was surrounded by darkness . No overwhelming feelings of peace but darkness and a throbbing feeling in my back . It was bearable but annoying. I tried to gaze around and see if I'd actually made it to Hell or Heaven and was met with darkness .

Hell it is then .

I felt a hand on my shoulder and I stiffened and the touch . The hand gently turned me around and caressed my face . A woman appeared out of the darkness and she was more beautiful than any woman I had ever seen.  She smiled at me and said ,

"You have fought very hard my child , but you must keep fighting my child . You will become one of the most powerful of my children . "

She was so mesmerizing. Her eyes were a combination of a piercing blue and a smoky gray . Her gown gracefully draped my body , and her hair was as brown as chocolate.

When she spoke I was mesmerized all over again .

"You will become both vampire and werewolf , on the night of the full moon , two days from now . would you like to see your wolf ?" She asked

I nodded and I was lead into a brightly lit room filled with tons of wolves . Walking around some resting others waiting with anticipation . I walked in further and all wolves turned to me . They bowed to the woman beside me and she smiled in return .
I am the moon goddess . I heard

"I -"she cut me off with her thoughts .
We do not speak in here. The balance must stay equal amongst the wolves .

I nodded .
What is this place ? I thought
Wolves who have yet to be acquainted with their persons , await anxiously waiting for the full moon to come and be able to run free. She said
Do I have a wolf ? I asked

She nodded and lead me through the pack of wolves . We reached the back of the wolves to find an all white wolf with a patch of black on her chest.
You cannot touch her but you may speak with her .

I walked closer the the she-wolf and the closer I got she held her head high and chest out .
Stop , what is your name ?

I sat down right in front of her and said ,
My name is Sage . What's yours ? I said .
Ziphora . She said.
That is a beautiful name . I complimented .
Thank you . she said in gratitude .

I stood up to leave when the goddess appeared next to me .
Ziphora will carry your werewolf gene and your vampirism . I am sure you both will be strong enough to carry both . Ziphora will fill the emptiness you feel in your heart . She will provide the part you are missing and you will protect each other forever . You both be immortal and have the advantages of both vampire and werewolf .Making you stronger than both . she explained
I accept goddess. Ziphora said without hesitation.

Why -why me , goddess? I asked .

Because you have the purest heart but your humanity hangs in the balance you will strike without hesitation, for what is right and fight against what is wrong . Do you understand? She asked .

Yes goddess. I said

Well then maybe its time that you go back to the land of the living and wait for Ziphora to arrive .

I nodded .

I'll see you in two days Sage . Ziphora said .

And I you , Ziphora .

And with that I felt my body begin to become heavier and then I started falling and felt myself on a hospital bed once again , not able to open my eyes . But only to rest until my body was ready to be awoken .
