"Last Clue" ~40

Cailin's POV

I looked out the window to realize that we were at the library. I sat there for a second thinking. I cannot help but wonder if Kaitlynn is behind this. She does stuff like this all the time. Maybe it's her or maybe I am just hoping its here and not some random killer. If it is i wonder who she has helping. Probably Corbyn but I what about the other boys. Some of then look like they are just as confused as me on this.

"Hey Cailin you coming?" Jack asked.

"Yeah I will be right there." I told him.

I turned to see that he was the only one left in the car, except me. I open the car door and jumped out. Corbyn and Kaitlynn were talking. They have to be behind this. The other guys were also talking, excluding Jack. Jack was not in any groups of people talking.

"Hey you ready for this?" A voice asked. I knew it was Jack. He put his hand on my shoulder and I just nodded.

"Alright people let's get a move on." Kaitlynn said looking me in the eyes.

Everyone started walking into the library. Jack and me fell behind. We were silent. For a second I didn't even realize that we were holding hands, Kaitlynn had to point it out when she turned around to make sure she was still there.

Once we got in both Kaitlynn and Jonah both went right to the Harry Potter section. They started flipping through books like no tomorrow. At one point I saw Kaitlynn reading the third book. I went to help them as the other boys did.

"Guys I found it!" Jonah cheered. There was a bunch of "sh"'s after that.

"We are in a library Jonah, keep down your voice." Kaitlynn scolded him in a whisper voice.

"Since when were you ms. Mature?' He responded in a sassy tone.

"I have my moments." She told him.

"Can we just start with the clue?" Zach asked.

"Yeah," Corbyn said. "Let's start the clues."

"Okay can I see the paper?" I asked Jonah with my hand out.

He handed me the paper and I looked down at it. It had a star at the top of it. I don't know what it ment exactly but I think it has something to do with Kaitlynn always wanting to be an actress or a singer. She dropped that idea a while ago. She always say it was because she wasn't good enough but she is really good at both so I don't know.

"What does it say?" Daniel asked me.

"The more my you waste the more memories are gone. So hurry with this last clue to lead you to the prize. Have fun. How did you and Kaitlynn have the best night after her first breakup?" I read aloud.

"Kaitlynn didn't we like have a sleepover and then we, more you cause that was depression time, ate like five containers of ice cream, right?" I asked remembering us sitting in my room jamming out to Trust Fund Baby.

"Yeah and then I spent an hour or more all sugared up dancing to their songs." Kaitlynn laughed.

"Yeah that was probably not the best idea." I laughed.

"Now I kinda want some chocolate." She said after she was done laughing.

"No. No chocolate for you. No" I told her. She gave me an okay face and moved on.

"Can we go back to the clues now?" Daniel asked.

"Yeah sure..." I told him.

"If you said eating five containers of ice cream and jamming out to Trust Fund Baby and other songs as well as Kaitlynn being on a sugar high, then you are correct. But the question is: what place has both food and shopping but some include bowling and escape rooms?" I read.

"What place..." Zach wondered out loud.

"Hey guys remember there are malls with that inside." Jonah said.

"Yeah there is!" Zach yelled.

"Zach quiet!" Kaitlynn whispered to him.

"No I don't think I will." He said in a girly voice putting his hands on his hips.

"Children come on!" Jack said mimicking Zachs girl voice.

"You guys are children." Jonah facepalmed.

"Hey take that back!" Corbyn chimed in.

"Guys!" I said trying to get there attention yet it did not work. "Guys the notes!"

"Yo guys the notes!" Daniel said getting there attention.

"Show off." I whispered to him as a joke. We both started laughing.

"Mall is correct. Also the first question was pretty irrelevant just wanted to make you remember. Anyway I want you to meet at the fountain at the center of the mall." I read. "That was all for the clues can't wait to see your face when you all realize it's me."

"Alright guys let's get on the move again." Jonah says.

"Yup let's head out." Zach responds play Punching Kaitlynn in the shoulder. Kaitlynn returned it on his arm.

We all walked in as a group and we al walked out as a group. Let's hope its stays like this for a while.
