~MINI TIME SKIP (THEY ARE NOW A FEW BLOCKS AWAY)~
Jack's POV
Corbyn and Kaitlynn were acting a but weird at breakfast. I don't know what it is but I think they at doing something. Maybe they planned the scavenge hunt. Maybe I am just paranoid.
"Jack you good?" Corbyn asked me.
"Umm.... yeah I am okay." I replied taking a second to realise what he had asked me.
"Well you have been staring out the window for like 5 minutes with saying anything." Cailin chimed in.
"Yeah sorry I guess I was just thinking." I rubbed my arm on the back of my neck.
"We are here!" Jonah smiled.
We all got out of the car. I stood alone as the others are in groups. I looked around to see Kaitlynn and Corbyn talking.
They are decently up to something. I am not sure what but they definitely are. Maybe they are the ones who wanted my sister to get hurt.
"Jack come here for a sec!" Cailin called.
"How's the birthday going?" I asked as I walked up to her.
"Its going good thanks for asking." Cailin smiled. God d*mn why is she so pretty.
"Hey Cailin....." Kaitlynn said.
"What's up Whittles?" She responded confused.
"Can I stay back?" She asked.
"Oh of course Whittles. You have made it way farther then normal." Cailin replied.
"Wait but we aren't in the cemetery yet." Zach had a confused tone in his voice.
"Yeah.... I kinda don't even make it to the cement some times. I thought this was a good idea but I guess it wasn't." Kaitlynn said looking over a sea of graves.
"If you don't want to you don't have to come but I think you should." Jonah smiled.
"Thanks but-" Kaitlynn started.
"Nope you are coming and don't worry I will be by your side." Corbyn spoke up. He put his hand on her shoulder and they shared a look.
"Well then its settled. Now let's go get us the next clue!" Daniel said.
'Jack Robert Avery can you heat this!' A voice that sounded a lot like Kaitlynns rung through my head.
I stopped for a second. Maybe I am just hearing things. There is no-
'Your not hear things Jack...' the voice said again.
'What the h*ll!' I responded.
'Remember before we were taken we all talked through are heads?' The voice asked.
'Yes....' I responded.
'Well me and Corbyn and are doing that again. But this time its about the....' The voice started getting shaky at the end.
'Its about the scavenger hunt' Another voice, take note it sounds like Corbyn said.
'Why did the other voice stop talking?' I asked.
'Do you really not know who we are?' The Corbyn sounding voice said.
'Am I supposed to?' I questioned.
'Wow Jack Avery you can be very dumb at times.' The Kaitlynn voice said.
'Who do we sound like?' The Corbyn one questioned.
'Corbyn and Kaitlynn?' I said in a tone that made it sound like a question.
'Hey look he got it right!' The voice sounded like Kaitlynn cheered.
'We are Kaitlynn and Corbyn you dumb*ss!' Corbyn said. Behind me I heard a slap. I saw Kaitlynn slapping Corbyn on the arm.
'WHAT THE H*LL WAS THAT FOR?' Corbyn screamed.
'DON'T CALL HIM A DUMB*SS! DUMB*SS!' She fired back.
'Um.... guys... I am still her you know.' I said.
'Oh yeah right! So we are the ones behind the scavenger hunt. What Corbyn needs help with is leaving subtle hints. Cause I most likely be balling my eyes out.' Kaitlynn said.
'Ok but what is the answer?' I asked.
'I will give you the answers when they are solving it.' Corbyn said.
'For now good luck!' Kaitlynn said.
"And we are here!" Cailin said somewhat cheerfully.
Everyone looked at Kaitlynn as she just stared at the grave labeled "Linda Whittles." Her eyes started to tear up and then she turned her head to corbyn. He gave her a nod and she hugged him.
"Ok guys let's look for the clues..." Cailin said trying to take her mind off of Kaitlynn.
"Is there any flowers or anything that it could be hidden under?" Jonah asked.
"Maybe but everyone should just start looking around for it."
After a few minutes of looking in a group of flowers that had been placed I moved to the next spot.
"Found it!" Zach screamed.
"Good job Zach!" Daniel patted him on the back.
"Alrighty lets start solving it!" Cailin cheered.
We all gathered in a group a few feet away from Kaitlynn mothers grave except for Kaitlynn and Corbyn. Kaitlynn let go of Corbyn and walked closer to the grave. Falling to her knees so she was right in front of the grave stone. She moved her hand across the writing and then just sat there. We all knew she would be like this but we wanted her to come. She soon got back up and went over to Corbyn crying. He whispered in her ear and her crying slowed down.
"So let's get started..." Jonah said looking at the note.
"Yeah... started..." I said turning away from Corbyn and Kaitlynn.
