Oh! Deer?✅- By Lena and RS- (IMPORTANT AN AT END)

AN: So this is actually kind of awful. All inspiration for this kind of went out the window and the only reason we're really posting it is for the authors note at the end. Please read it!!! 

Lena and RS wrote this with absolutely no communication. We just went back and forth. RS did a paragraph then Lena did one and we just picked up where the other left off. 

It's not great but we like the idea of doing joint stories and will probably do a better one in the future. Like I said, we just rushed this one so we could post the AN at the end. 

Enjoy! Or don't. Whatever.

Wally and Artemis had decided to go on a little trip. Just the two of them. They were very excited to take a short break from being superheroes and spend some time being a 'normal' couple.

However, they soon discovered that the trip was becoming something far from 'normal'. First, the airline they were supposed to use to get to Canada had seemingly vanished overnight and when Wally asked the lady at the front desk what happened, she said she hadn't even heard of the airline. So they decided to road trip it instead and drive to Canada. Second, their car broke down. And they had only made it five minutes out of Happy Harbour.

It seemed like the world was against them getting even little bit of time off. Artemis was starting to get a little bit upset, but Wally being so optimistic was able to keep her in a good enough mood. He called Dick to see if he knew how to fix their car and luckily he was able to walk Wally through how to repair it. Then as soon as it was fixed, they were off!

For the next three hours Wally drove while Artemis made idle conversation with him to keep him from going crazy with boredom (Everybody knows Wally has an attention span of a five year old.) At about the four hour mark Wally noticed that Artemis had been unusually quiet for some time. He glanced over to the passenger side and noticed that she had curled up in her seat and was now sleeping soundly with her head against the window.

"She's so cute," Wally thought you himself. "How am I so lucky to have her?" While he was thinking about how amazing Artemis is and how much he loves her, he noticed small snores coming from her seat. "She must be right out cold. Good thing we only have a few more hours left. Then we can check into our hotel and and I can have a turn resting."

     Just as Wally finishes his thought he hears Artemis stir in the her seat. He glances over only to be caught of guard by her already staring at him. She smiles lightly before turning her eyes to watch the road. Wally glanced back at the road quickly before turning back to admire Artemis. 

     "Deer." 

She says suddenly. Wally smirks and replies,

   "Yes honey?" 

  "No! Deer!" 

    Artemis yells while pointing out the window. 

Wally narrowly managed to avoid the deer but while swerving the car went out of control and blew a tire. Just another mishap to add to their list while on this trip. 

The two waited in the car the side of the road for Dick. Wally had called him and asked him to come get them. All thoughts of the road trip were gone as Wally and Artemis huddled together in the backseat and talked about anything and everything. Realizing that this was as good a road trip they were going to get they decided to put off Canada to another time. Maybe when they had a little more luck on their side.

So, we wanted your guys' input on some plans we have. RedSpazz is considering making her own account for all of her original works. And Lena and RedSpazz are also considering making a joint account where we would move all our stories. The stories we would move would be;

Our reads, votes, and comments would all be lost (I think?) but we're hoping you guys would continue to read our stories and follow us. We would definitely need your help to get our reads back up but we really think this is a good idea to keep our joint stories separate from Lena's account and to have Red's original works on her own account.
