The Artemis Before The Wally Part III❎- By RedSpazz-

AN: Part III!!!  IMPORTANT TO CHAPTER! PLEASE READ THIS...Keep in mind, Part II ended in the middle of a flashback and this is continuing right from where it left off. So still in flashback mode. If you need to go back to Part II to review the beginning,  don't worry so did I! Also, I really just wanted to get this published and kind of wrap up the flash back mode because I am now kicking myself for leaving a chapter off on a cliffhanger AND flashback!

        "Artemis' accusations of my being a mole are true..."

The whole team gasped and Connor looked ready to punch Wally across the cave until Wally calmed them all down by waving his arms out in front of himself and saying,

"Wait! Wait. Wait. Wait. Before you assume anything please know that I am in fact a mole but not in JLA. I am a mole for the JLA..."

M'Gann frowned in confusion and said,

"But... I don't understand."

"I work for the League of Shadows. At first is wasn't even to be a mole for the JLA. It was by force. They found out how I got my powers. They found out that The Flash was my uncle. And then they found out all of my other family relations and have been threatening to kill them if I don't work for the Shadows. My nephew and niece were the last straw. They even sent...- Wally paused as his voice cracked-... "they even sent someone to the house to take pictures of them. I had no other choice! They were going to kill them. All of them!!!"

At this point Wally was near tears and let out a strangled sob. Dick then came walking into the room as if he had been there all along and pulled his best friend into a hug. After a few minutes Wally calmed down enough to finish his story and smiled at Dick as he pulled away.

"... After a few months of doing their dirty work for them I finally had enough. I talked to Uncle Barry about it and he took it to Batman. Batman then came to me, made me swear my allegiance to the JLA, and then he told me that the best way to play this is to take the Shadows down from the inside. Since then the Shadows have thought that I am being a double agent for them when really it's been the other way around. I have done terrible things for the Shadows. But I don't like it and I swear on my life that I am not loyal to The Shadows!"

The team all smiled and told Wally that they understood and would do anything to help him out and that his secret was safe with them.

END OF FLASHBACK...

            "Wait... you're telling me that you gave up on Artemis three months ago?!"

             "Well... yeah. After that day I realized there was no way we were ever going to be anything more than teammates. Friends was completely out of the picture for her."

             Dick smacked his forehead and groaned,

"Wally! You guys are friends right now! You literally went to see a movie together because you were bored yesterday! Acquaintances don't go see movies together!"

Wally laughed at how worked up Dick was getting and said,

"I don't know why you care man. It's not that big a deal."

"But it is, Wally! You don't realize it now but Artemis is starting to rely on you! She hasn't done that since... a long time ago. You'll have to ask her about it. But seriously it's not good to let her down like that. Especially not after what's happened in her past. Again, ask her. It's not my place to tell."

Wally sighed and ran a hand through his hair.

"I just... I know. But, I don't want to hurt her. She's starting to grow on me too! Even though she is constantly yelling at me and blaming me for being the mole. I never want to hurt her and I know that she'll be hurt when I tell her."

Dick smiled at Wally as he patted him on the back and went to walk away.

       "I dunno man. I'm not about to force you but I do think the sooner the better."

       And with that Dick walked away leaving Wally to his thoughts.

AN: It's short, I know. But at least I published something!
