Jimin watched the moving truck park. He thought he would be getting a neighbor soon, but he didn't think it would be that quick. His old neighbor just moved out, and anyone who's able to buy these houses must have some money. He wondered who it would be, as he looked out the window to inspect. He bit at the end of his pencil, getting distracted from his studies.

He watched the movers help carry in many boxes, and another person trying desperately to help, but the workers only giving him lighter things to carry. Jimin thought it was cute, and laughed a little before spitting out his pencil.

He watched the movers empty the truck, and the person, Jimin assumed it was his new neighbor, pay them before entering his house. He sighed heavily. He would have to give him a welcoming gift. That was something his mother had taught him, and his mother would be most disappointed if he didn't live up to that.

He thought about what he should make. Something sweet was always nice. But maybe he wanted dinner? Moving always means takeout food for a tiny bit. Ah, no, but something sweet will last longer. Cookies? Cake? Brownies? Jimin got lost in thought, before seeing the light turn on in the bedroom, grabbing his attention. He saw the blinds open and he made eye contact with the...young man he could decipher now.

Jimin gave a smile and a small wave, pencil in hand, his neighbor looking stunned.

Jimin watched him blink a couple of times before giving a small, weak smile and closing the blinds.

Jimin laughed to himself before shaking his head. "How odd. Cute though." Jimin went back to his homework, thinking about what the cute boy might like to eat. Maybe just cookies. Those are always good. Easy to eat, and who doesn't love a chocolate cookie?

Jimin decided he would do it tomorrow.

____

Jimin heard the neighbor set up his house and room the whole night.

____

Jimin started to bake the cookies, making sure he wouldn't be too late to give them to him. He had finished his yoga class at noon, sending everyone home, before getting started on the baking. Jimin played music, mixed everything together, poured out the batter on a cookie sheet, and put them in the oven.

He stretched out again before reading his book for school. He was lucky he could work as a yoga instructor and go to school. A little bit of side money, and a lot of education. He wondered what his neighbor was doing. He looked young, but the college here wasn't at a time to accept students. A new year hadn't started. Jimin wondered about him again.

He let the cookies cool a tad bit before putting them on a plate and covering them. He took a deep breath before heading over to his neighbors house.

He knocked and waited.

The door opened and Jimin saw the young man from yesterday.

"O-oh hello." He smiled, and Jimin smiled wide. He was so cute! From his one glance, he wore all black, all baggy clothes. His hair was long and in his eyes, he kept moving it out of the way but it kept going right back in place.
