Theo PoV

It's been a week and Shai's in LA for her grandma's funeral.

The shooting of Insurgent is almost over and it's like everyone on set can feel it, there's not the usual happy spirit anymore, it's just about getting the job done.

Ruth will arrive today, and Shai will come back too.

Of course I'm excited to see Ruth, she is my girlfriend after all, but it's just not the same as it was once. The last year, it's just been about sex and kissing. I won't call it making love because that's not what we do anymore. The sparks are just gone, you know? Of course I still love her, it's just not the same as it was before.

I take a look at the alarm clock on my bedside table and groan, I'm supposed to pick up Ruth at the airport in half an hour.

Quickly, I get dressed, eat some breakfast and go to my car.

When I pull up at the parking lot at the airport, I stay in my car, if I leave it the paparazzi will attack me, the rumors about Shai and I dating are getting bigger and bigger for each day, every time there's paparazzi nearby, all they do is to ask me about my non-existing relationship with Shai.

When I see Ruth walking towards the car, I jump out from the front seat, when she sees me she smiles and runs to me, as good as she can manage in her usual high heels.

"Theodore!" She says happily and gives me a peck on the lips. When her lips hit mine, a thought hit me, the last person I kissed was Shai, but unfortunately it was just a movie kiss.

"Hi, baby" I say and help her get her huge suitcase into the trunk in my car.

"So how's the flight?" I ask as I drive on the highway in direction of the apartment building I live in with the cast.

"It was great" Ruth says. "I just missed one thing..."

"And what was that?"

"You" She says and winks.

I chuckle, I'm really tired of her saying things like that, she does it all the time and it's not even cute anymore.

When we're walking down the hallway, hand in hand, to get to my apartment, I see that Shai's door is open. Ansel walk out from it eating a carrot.

"Hello there" he says, "oh, hi Ruth"

Ruth smiles, she has met Ansel and the other guys a few times before but it's been a long time.

I look questioning at the carrot in his hand, "hungry?"

He shrugs, "apparently the only thing Shai has in her fridge that I can eat without it being too healthy"

I grins, "true story"

Ruth squeezes my hand and I realize that I'm no longer walking, I catch myself looking into Shai's apartment, the sound of her humming voice makes me smile even though I can't see her.

Ruth pushes me through the door into my apartment, as soon as the door is closed behind us, Ruth grabs my jacket and presses our lips together. I fumble with my shoes and Ruth pulls me to the couch without letting my lips go.

"Fuck me, Theodore" she moans into my mouth.

I pull back in disgust, "No. Not now."

She looks disappointed at me, "what?!"
