Chapter 13

Shai PoV

Theo squeezes my hand under the table and stands up. It's time.

"Guys..." Theo says to catch everyone's attention. "I, we, need to tell you something."

I bite my lip and look at the plate in front of me. We're sitting in a room for ourselves so no one we don't like to hear it, will hear it. I don't know why I'm so nervous about this, I mean, it's all my best friends in the world and I'm sure they already noticed that something is going on between Theo and I.

Everyone's looking at Theo, completely quiet. Theo looks down at me, then back up. "I've got this great honor to tell you, that for the past week, Shai and I have been dating."

There's silent for a few seconds until Miles jumps up from his chair, "finally!"

The other guys start to clap and greet us, Theo pulls me up from my chair and, to my big surprise, he brings me into a long warm kiss.

I feel myself blush as we pull back and everyone raise their glasses in cheers, "for Sheo!"

Theo wraps his arm around me and I lean my head on his shoulder and laugh at Ansel, Miles and Zoë jumping around in triumph. I catch Keiynan, the guy who plays Uriah, hand Miles a five dollar bill, Miles raises his hand in triumph and dances around, making me laugh even more.

"That went well," Theo turns his head and mumbles into my ear, I look at all our friends, smile and nod.

Theo takes my hand under the table when everyone's sitting down again, and I sigh in relief that nobody saw it as a problem for the movies, I must've been stupid for thinking that.

The rest of the night is calm, everyone's asking Theo and I questions about our sudden relationship. To be honest it's not so sudden if you have just kept your eye open, we've always been very touchy and flirty with each other, but never in my wildest fantasy, had I imagined that we would end up being dating.

Later the same night, when I'm helping Theo packing the last stuff before we leave in the morning, Ansel and Miles knock on the door.

Theo drops his clothes on the bed and walks to open the door, they're standing with a bunch of movies in their hands.

"Movie night!" Miles shouts excited and walks in through the door without asking, Theo doesn't seem like it's a problem, I assume they've been doing that all the time, just walking in without asking fist.

"Shai!" Ansel shouts from the living room. "Where are you? I know you're here"

I drop Theo's things on the floor and walk out, he's already sitting on the couch. "I'm right here"

"Oh, great" he says and smiles. After a while, he snaps his fingers and grins silly, "you were both in the bedroom... Where you in the middle of something?"

I roll my eyes and sit down by his side, "no, Ansel. I was just helping Theo pack all his stuff."

"Suuure" Ansel says, leaning back with his hands behind his head.

"We brought..." Miles starts, he gets interrupted by my phone ringing loudly from the kitchen.

I jump up in shock and run to it, "Shailene speaking" I say when I pick it up.

"Where the hell are you?" Zoë's voice sounds. "Neither Miles, Ansel or you are home."

"Oh, we're all at Theo's," I tell her, "Ansel and Miles just came, they brought some movies."

Zoë sighs, "I'll be there in a minute"

I hang up and lay my phone back on the counter, "Zoë is joining"

Neither, Miles, Ansel or Theo hear me, they're in the middle of a deep discussion about whether or not we should watch a horror movie.

"Shai doesn't like horror movies," Theo says matter-of-factly. I smile because that's something I told him more than a year ago.

"But horror movies are the best in the world!" Miles says. He looks at me, "can we watch a horror movie?"

I shrug, "su..."

The door burst open and Zoë rushes inside, "I can't believe it. I can't believe it!"

Miles, Ansel, Theo and I, all look surprised at her.

"How can you throw a movie night without inviting me?!" She tries to sound like she's pissed but it doesn't really work.

"Zoë, horror or not horror?" Ansel asks, ignoring her question.

"Horror, for God's sake," she says and bumps down into the couch between Theo and I.

Ansel and Theo both give her an odd look, "Zoë? You can't just..." Ansel waves his hand between Theo and I with a serious look on his face.

"Oh, sorry," she stands up and Theo takes her seat while she takes his.

Miles starts the movie, and since we're sitting five people in the same couch, it's a little crowded. I'm sitting on Theo's lap with my arms around his torso, his arms around my waist.

Every time something scary happens, Zoë and I both jump up which the guys find very funny. I hide my head in Theo's neck almost the whole movie, just inhaling the smell of his cologne. I hate horror movies more than anything, they just doesn't make sense, but I won't be the one to ruin the other guys' dreams about watching horror.

"Okay," Miles says when the movie's over, he makes a gesture to Theo and I, then he nods in direction of the bedroom. "I'm going to leave so you can pick up where you left out."

I roll my eyes and Theo chuckles, "we were not..."

Miles points a finger at me, "you were both in the bedroom, making something, when we came."

Theo shakes his head and chuckles more.

"Dude, you can be in a bedroom making other things than having sex" I tell him.

He shrugs and leans back in the couch, "alright... Then I'll just stay"

Zoë hits his arm, "We're leaving now. You can't just stay with a newly-in-love couple forever, they need some privacy!"

I lean my head against Theo's shoulder, he lifts up my head by my chin and kisses me slowly and soft, I wrap my arms around his neck and let my tongue slip into his mouth.

"C'mon, guys!" Miles complains. "I came here to have a good time and I'm honestly feeling so attacked right now"

Slowly, I pull back from Theo not breaking our gaze.

"Oh shut up, Miles" Zoë says. "Just because you're so fucking lonely. We're leaving now, Ansel, Miles"

Ansel starts walking towards the door, Miles follows him after Zoë smacks his arm once more.

"Promise you'll say goodbye tomorrow before you leave!" Zoë shouts just before she closes the door.

"We will" I say quiet and start to kiss Theo again.

Everything around me seems to disappear by Theo's touch. Something magically happens inside me, it's like a drug; I'm addicted to Theo's lips.
