Theo PoV

"Theo!" I hear a familiar voice when I enter the kitchen.

My second sister, Claire, is standing against the kitchen island with a cup of tea in her hand. She's smiling big at me. I must look at her for a moment before I recognize her; her hair is no longer short and brown, now it ends on her lower back and is dyed black. Her brown eyes look different but pretty to the new color. She's dressed in what looks like very expensive and modern clothes.

I embrace her in a hug, "Claire! God, it's been so long. Look at you!" I look down at her and she follows my gaze. "You look good," I give her a smile.

"Thanks, Theodore!" She says with a happy smile. "You don't look too bad yourself"

I look down at myself, I'm shirtless only wearing black sweatpants and socks. She runs a hand over my toned stomach but I remove it; Only Shai's hands are allowed to touch me like that.

Claire has always been a little bitchy, very easy to make jealous, and very touchy with everyone.

She ruffles my hair like I was a baby, and leans back against the kitchen island, taking a sip of the mug filled tea in her hands.

"I heard you got a new girlfriend?" She says and wiggles her eyebrows. "Shailene Woodley, am I right?"

I nod as I pour tea into another mug and sit down by the kitchen table, "you're perfectly right."

"Where is she?"

"She needed to go back to Atlanta to do some reshoots. She left yesterday," I tell her.

Claire looks around in the kitchen and pulls out a chair opposite of me and sit down, giving me a deep look. "Look, Theo..."

Wondering why she sounds so serious, I look up from my tea, "What?"

She sighs and leans back, "I'm really sorry but... I'm not sure Shailene's the best girl for you."

Suddenly, I feel very alert and my heart skips a beat. Shai's the perfect girl for me, even my mom said that. "What are you saying?"

"She was spotted with someone in the airport yesterday. Looks like they were a little too touchy..."

I sit straight up as she pulls out her phone from her pocket, she clicks a few times then push it over the table so I can look at it.

Shai's face is staring straight up at me, she's standing next with some dude I recognize as Nahko from Nahko and Medicine For The People. They're both smiling.

I sigh in relief and lean back in my chair, "He's one of her old friends. They've known each other for years. There's absolutely nothing between them."

"I'm not so sure, Theo. Look at the next picture." Claire looks at me in pity as I scroll to the right.

The sight that meets me, makes me aggressively pull the phone away and bury my head in my hands. Shai and Nahko have their arms wrapped around each other, it looks like they're kissing each other. On the mouth.

I get up from my chair and march upstairs again, I walk into my room and smack the door behind me. I lean against the closed door and slowly fall to the floor with my head in my hands.

How could she? Maybe she didn't need reshoots, maybe she just left me here so she could visit her other boyfriend. A boyfriend, whom she's been hiding from me this whole time.

There's a knock on the door, "Theo?" Claire's voice sounds from the other side of the door. I'm also angry at her, how can she just turn up here after more than a year and as the first thing tell me that my girlfriend's cheating on me?

I hate everyone, everything. I hate life. My whole body hurts as I move away from the door to let her in. I love Shai of my whole heart, how could she do that to me? All the times she told me that she loved me, didn't she mean it?

All the times we've shared a kiss or made love, didn't they mean anything to her?

"Are you alright??" Claire asks as she enters my room. "I'm so sorry."

I shake my head and fall onto my bed, "It's okay. It's not your fault."

"Do you need anything?"

I shake my head again. "No, thank you. I-I... I just need some time."

She nods understanding, backs out of the room and closes the door behind her.

Maybe she's right? Maybe Shai's not the perfect girl for me. She obviously doesn't enjoy our relationship as much as I thought...

The whole time, I thought we would end up getting married and maybe even get kids. But I guess I was wrong.

Why did Shai do this to me? I love her so much. I did so much for her. So much to make her feel loved and appreciated.

I guess I was wrong about her, I never thought she could do anything like that. But she did.

I decide not to call her even though I promised I would last night. I don't want to be the one disturbing her night with that Nahko guy.
