Theo PoV
Since it's dark, Shai and I decide to go for a walk together. The darkness, and the fact that it's 11pm, will hopefully prevent us from meeting fans as we're walking together in Los Angeles, that would sure get the media to consider if we're a couple or not, again.
"Mom," Shai says while zipping up her jacket. "We're going for a walk."
"Okay," Lori says. "Be careful, and watch out for strangers!"
Shai rolls her eyes and turns around to open the front door.
"Keep calm, Lori," I say. "Nobody's getting near your daughter, I promise."
Lori smiles at me, "thanks, Theo. You can never get too protective nowadays"
I raise my arm to wave as I join Shai by the front door, I take her hand and entwine our fingers as we walk out.
Shai leans her head at my shoulder as we walk down the street. I lift up our entwined hands and kiss the back of her hand, "I love you"
"I love you, too," she says and kiss my shoulder.
We walk around in the neighborhood in silence, just enjoying the fresh and sultry October weather.
The skyline from downtown Los Angeles, can be seen very slightly through all the houses, trees and whatever.
All the houses around us, are lightening the street up in a dull yellow light, shadows and silhouettes of people inside them, can be seen through the curtains in the windows.
"I've been thinking about buying an apartment here in America," I tell Shai.
She lifts her head from my shoulder and looks up at me, "huh?"
"Half the time I'm here anyways," I say. "I'm always living at friends places, or in free hotels and apartments we get from shooting. Sometimes I just miss my own place to go to."
"Where would you live, then?" Shai asks in a low voice.
"I don't know," I say. "Where would you like me to live?"
She smiles, "Simi Valley."
I smile, "of course. To be honest, I've been thinking about L.A or Atlanta the whole time"
"Why Atlanta?"
"We're going to film two more movies there, and it's a very nice city." I say.
"Yes, but Simi Valley's better," Shai says and smile as she looks at the street. "By the way, I'm getting my old house back."
I furrow my brows, "what house?"
"The house I gave my grandma. Since she's... yeah, not here anymore, the house is mine again. My mom took a day off at Friday so we can go there, clean up and make it ready for me to move in."
I wrap my arm around her shoulder, "that's great. I'll help you."
She looks up at me, confused. "With what?"
"Clean it up and move in of course," I say and kiss her forehead.
"Thanks," she says and smile at me. "Then I'll help you find and buy an apartment, as close to my house as it can get."
My thoughts about getting my own apartment in America, has been ongoing for a long time. Since we began to shoot Divergent, to be exact. Now, when my girlfriend's in America, it seems even more stupid not to live here permanent.
