Chapter 10

A quick update since it's Christmas eve. Merry Christmas, guys :-)

Shai PoV

Theo's gone when I wake up, and I feel a little disappointment running through my body. Did he really not like me like that? Maybe we just had sex because he's so hurt about all the things with Ruth?

I look at the clock on my bed and realize that we have to be on set in an hour.

Quickly, I take a shower and get dressed. As I step out in the kitchen, there's a note from Theo lying on the dining table.

Needed to leave for set to get my tattoo done, didn't want to wake you up.

I left the key on the kitchen counter, lock the door after you when you leave ;)

Just as he wrote, he left the key to his apartment on the kitchen counter, I love that he trusts me so much that he just leaves me alone in his apartment and gives me the key.

I eat some breakfast and head out of the door and to my car.

As I drive to the set, I think about last night. What happened between Theo and I? Are we a thing now? I don't know, and I'm not sure how to ask him about it.

I want Theo to be mine so bad, but it's not really fair for him to get in a relationship again so fast. He's only been single for a little over a week, I would seem so desperate if I asked him if we are now boyfriend and girlfriend.

As I drive through the gate into the set, I see Theo's car parked in the parking lot and smile for myself. I'm excited to see him, see what he thinks about yesterday night. If it was just sex or if there was more in it.

Theo's standing in the hallway talking with Miles, they're laughing really hard at something Miles said. They're both changed into costumes and Four's tattoo is visible on Theo's neck.

Miles waves when he sees me, "hi, Shai!"

Theo turns around and smiles at me, it's not his usual smile, there's something changed in it, something good.

"Hi, guys!" I greet them happily. "I'll walk straight to my trailer, I'm a bit busy"

Miles gives me a thumbs up and returns talking to Theo, as I walk down the hallway, I can feel Theo's eyes on my back, but I don't look back.

In my trailer, I change into my Tris costume for the day. It's just a simple outfit which Tris is in when she's in Erudite.

Once I'm changed and heading out of the door, I notice something on the small table under the window, when I get closer, I realize that it's a letter from Theo.

Beautiful Shai,

I want to take you somewhere when we're done filming for the day.

Meet me at the cars.

Theo.

I smile and walk out of the door, Theo wants to take me somewhere, for what?

It's an easy day of shooting, we're just filming some small scenes in which we're just walking or running down a hallway. Almost the whole day I feel Theo stare at me behind my back when he doesn't think I notice.

I'm really excited about tonight. Wherever Theo's going to take me, I bet it's something good. We haven't said a word about it to each other, but the way we've been looking at each other throughout the day, seems to be enough for both of us to know that we have a deal.

Theo's already standing at the parking lot, leaning against his car with his hands in his pockets, in a way that makes him look even more hot that he already is.

I hug him tight, "So where are we going?"

He smirks and opens the door in his car for me to jump in, "You'll see"

I glare at my own car and decide just to pick it up tomorrow. I sit in the passenger seat and Theo drives the car in the opposite direction than the apartment building we're living in.

"Where are we going?" I ask him once again after five minutes of driving.

He starts whistling and acts like he can't hear me.

"Theooo. Please," I beg him. "Where are we going?"

"Patience, Shai. Patience" He says and keeps looking at the road.

We drive for two more minutes until Theo parks the car in front of a sign saying Piedmont park, Atlanta.

I smile as we get out of the car.

"I know this is not so creative. But I need to talk to you about something," Theo says and wraps an arm around my shoulder as we walk.

I'm curious, but also a little nervous about what he'll talk with me about. Maybe he thinks that what we did yesterday was stupid?
