Chapter 11

Theo PoV

There are not many people in the park, only a few runners and people walking on the path.

I took Shai here to ask her something, something I'm very nervous about.

My arm is wrapped around Shai's waist as we sit down on a bench hidden behind trees and bushes and with view over the lake.

Shai's leaning against me, "what is it?"

"What is what?" I ask absent looking over the beautiful lake.

"What do you wanna talk about?" She seems nervous. I don't know why, I mean, it's not like I'm going to tell her that I'm gay or something.

I take her hand in mine and entwine our fingers, I catch her eyes and smile a little. "Will you be my girlfriend?"

Her face turns into a smile and she answers by pressing her lips to mine, "I indeed want to be your girlfriend, Theodore James."

I feel a slight of relief rush through my body and kiss her back with love and passion.

"You're so cute," Shai whispers with a small smile. "Taking me to a park to ask me if I want to be your girlfriend."

I smile and sling her legs over mine, "I wanted it to be special. Something you'll never forget"

"You really are cute"

I lean down and kiss her lips soft, she plays with my hair and sends chills through my body.

We sit for a long time on the bench in the park, talking, kissing and laughing. Every time Shai laughs, I want to rip off her clothes and touch her everywhere, she's so perfect. So beautiful that you'll never get tired of looking at her.

When it begins to get dark, we decide to go home. We end up cuddling on my bed.

I keep getting lost in Shai's hazel eyes, and I really can't help it; they're always sparkling with life and she's so positive all the time, can only see the good in every person. I, and everyone else for that matter, can learn so much from her. Everyone needs to be more like her; more happy, positive and healthy. She's so positive all the time, and it makes everyone near her even more happy, she's a beaming ray of positive sunlight.

Also, she's so beautiful. Her blonde pixie cut sitting in a mess on top of her head, her clear and a little pale skin, her eyes, her everything, is just beautiful. There's no person on earth that look as good as her, not even if they try.

I feel like the luckiest man on earth to be dating her, to love her. I fell in love with this perfect girl, luckily she also fell in love with me. She completes me, she's mine and I am hers. I'm melting every time she touches me, kiss me or just smile, it's been very clear to me after I met her the first time, that some people are worth melting for. She always makes my heart do the tingly-tingly, and I love it.

When I met her for the first time, during the audition for my role as Four, I had no idea, that one day, she would be so important to me. And I'm very thankful for that, I'm so happy to know her, so happy to love her. I couldn't ask for anything better.

She's perfect. And I love her, more than anything.

"Theo... Theo!" Shai says and waves a hand in front of my face, I realize that I've just been staring at her.

"So-sorry. What?" I force myself out of my trance.

"I was asking you if you could tell me about your childhood?" She smiles and makes my heart tingle.

"Well..." I start and pull her closer, her arms are wrapped around my bare chest and the duvet are covering our bodies. "My childhood wasn't really interesting... I went to school, ate, slept and repeated."

Shai rolls her eyes, even that wants me to kiss her hard, right here, right now. "You must've had some weird fetishes, good friends or something."

I scratch my shaved chin, I'm really missing my beard. As soon as we're done with Insurgent, which is tomorrow, I'll grow it out again. "Weird fetishes... Well I did my homework"

Shai laughs, "Interesting..."

"No. I didn't really have the most interesting and fancy childhood, it was just... Basic."

"Then what about your family? I don't know that much about your family" Shai says and pulls herself closer to me.

"I have two older brothers and two older sisters, but you already know that. Ben, Jacob, Jessica and Claire. Ben, Jessica and Claire are all married, but Jessica's the only one with children: my niece and nephew, Lily is three years old and Elliot's five. The cutest kids on earth" I smile a little, Shai smiles back and nods for me to continue. "My mom and dad live in a big house in Oxfordshire, Oxford, the house I grew up in. My dad's not a person who says much, but he's got a really good humor when you get to know him and he opens up. It's a little strange, cause my mom talks to everyone, about everything. It's really embarrassing sometimes, and when you tell her to shut up, she doesn't. But she's also the best and most caring person on earth, even though she's a little too open and straightforward."

Shai smiles, tightens her arms around me and lays her head on my chest, "you know I'll have to meet them someday."

I kiss her hair, "I'd love you to meet them."

Her hair smells nice like sweet apples and Shai, I love that smell, it makes me feel somehow safe.

"Theo?"

"Huh?"

Shai lifts her head and rests on her elbows to look me straight in the eyes. "Are we going to tell society about our relationship?"

"I guess they'll find out sooner or later" I say still trying to find out where she wanna go with this.

"Yeah. But it's just... What if it will affect the movies? If we're... I don't know... if it doesn't work between us and our friendship takes damage?"

"Oh, I'm not planning to let you go temporary, Shailene Diann Woodley," I poke her nose with a finger and smile.

"But..." She lays back on my chest. "You know what I mean..."

I kiss her hair once again, "I know what you mean. I think we should just keep it for us selves for a while, then tell our family and friends. And the cast. Then we'll take it from there."

I can feel Shai's lips form into a smile against my bare chest, "Okay."
