Yes, Theo did just ask me on a date in front of his whole family. Wow, that's why he's so perfect. He wants it to be a surprise where we're going to, but he told me to wear swimwear.
Jessica's sitting on Theo's bed while I'm on the floor, all my clothes are spread across the floor and I have exactly ten more minutes to get dressed before I'm supposed to meet Theo downstairs.
I run my hands through my still wet hair; I just took a bath. "What the fuck am I going to wear?"
"I told you already," Jessica says. "Something comfortable."
I already picked out a green bikini, now the problem is what I'm going to wear over it. Wherever Theo's going to take me, I need to wear the perfect clothes.
"But what?" I lay on my back on the soft carpet and look at the ceiling above me.
I can hear Jessica stand up from the bed and walk towards me. "Wear something nice, but not too nice. Something low-cut, I think he would appreciate that."
I grin, "you're probably right." I sit up again and look at my clothes for the seven hundredth time.
Ten minutes later, I'm standing in front of the mirror in a white t-neck, shorts and black vans. I take a deep breath as I pull a leather jacket over my t-shirt and walk out of Theo's room and downstairs.
Jessica smiles at me and lays a hand on my shoulder as she walks into the living room with the rest of the family.
Theo's standing in the doorway to the hallway with his back facing me, his head is looking down at something in his hand, probably his phone.
When he doesn't notice me, I wrap my arms around his torso and stand on my tip toes to kiss his chin. He turns around, smiles and takes my hand, "Let's go."
I walk behind him out of the door and take advantage of the opportunity to check him out. He's wearing a grey sweatshirt, black jeans, black vans and a beanie. Cute that we have matching shoes.
Theo stops walking when he steps out of the front door, I catch up with him and take his hand. I start to walk towards of the car but he pulls me in the opposite direction.
"Not this time," he tells me with a smirk. "I have a special places I want to show you."
We walk over the large grass area in silence, I enjoy being in the nature again. The last months where we've been living in Atlanta, I've missed nature so much.
"Where are you taking me?" I ask Theo.
"You'll see" he says with a smirk, he looks like he got the best idea ever.
We walk on a path and the barn appear from behind some trees, "Aww! Is that where the horses are?"
"Yeah, it is" he tells me. "We can go see them later if you want, but now we have somewhere else to go."
I squeeze his hand in mine and jump a little in excitement; I love animals, I really do. Since I was a little girl, I've always wanted a pet but my parents never gave me permission to get one.
We move on in a comfortable silence, the birds are peeping and the air smells like summer.
Theo pulls me in direction of some trees at the lake, a little confused, I walk in the right direction with Theo behind me, the whole way he's resting a hand on my lower back.
A small open place opens up behind the trees and bushes, there's a bench hidden under a big bush with view over a part of the lake. On the soft green grass, Theo has set up for picnic with one of those typical white and red patterned tablecloths and a basket, probably filled with food.
